Chapter 32: Awake Without You

A loud thumping sound rings through my ears as my eyes slowly flutter open. The dim light of the room makes it hard to see anything in front of me, but I can definitely smell the stench of dampness seeping through my nostrils. I shiver from the cool air, shifting uncomfortably on the floor.

Where am I? I squint around me, trying to get my eyes to adjust to the scene before me. The entire room can’t be bigger than my bathroom, and slabs of concrete make up the damp and desolate walls. I try to sit up, but a rattling takes me off guard.

I glance down at my wrists, noticing cuffs connected to each of them. My eyes follow the long chains connected to them that lie bolted to the closest wall. With one good tug, I realize just how trapped I am, and the gravity of my situation doubles. What the f*ck!?! Where am I?!?

I try desperately to think back, remember anything that I possibly could. We were at the park, and I was confessing my feelings to Eileen…

Eileen!
