“So what’s the deal with these bracelets again?” I ask, helping Eileen clip hers into place.

Ben smiles, holding up a matching bracelet of his own, “It’s infused silver with a combination of vampiric ash and holy water. As well as a few other substances no one should legally be able to own.”

“No surprise there. All the fun stuff is always illegal,” Callie adds.

“While it’s in contact with your skin, meaning you are actually wearing it and not just hiding it in your pocket, the effects of any vampiric abilities will be halved. Still can and will affect you, particularly our little human friend here.”
