*Nigel’s POV*
"I hope you had a good time,” I noted. I grabbed Sophie's hand as she watched the rain hit the window.
"Preparing for take-off in ten minutes," my pilot, Allen, stated.
He walked down the aisle to ensure everything was for the flight as Sophie and I strapped on our seatbelts. I nodded and asked Sophie if she was ready. She smiled and unwrapped a piece of gum to chew on. She mentioned gum helped her when her ears clogged when ascending and descending.
"I had a great time,” she started, answering my question. “However, I'm a bit nervous about not having any interview material to bring back and hope my boss doesn't think I lied to her."
She placed her hand under her chin and stroked her chin with her thumb.
"Oh. I forgot to tell you that I can't do more interviews,” I said.
"What?!" Sophie's eyes widened with disbelief.
