My New friend... Your New Friend Part II

“Like who?”

“Uh...it's nothing. Let's hurry up. The dinner bell has rung. If we are late for dinner, Sister Margaret will be upset. Follow me, Fern." Without waiting for Fern’s answer, Aey grabbed her new friend's hand and ran through the back of the school. In comparison, the new student was still troubled by the unanswered question.

Who did Aey talk about?

One day Fern would try her best to find out...

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Rutherford Memorial School’s cafeteria was a one-story building wrapped with another layer of iron net. It was claimed to prevent the flies from entering. But to Fern, she saw the cafeteria as an undoubted pigsty. Once inside, the girl saw three rows of neatly arranged dining tables where some students were already sitting. There was a counter with a tray for food at the end of the hall with a cutlery basket and water glasses. Nearby, there were students on duty waiting to put food on a tray for other students waiting in line.
