Chapter 55 - The Admin

Chapter 55 – The Admin

Short story short, Artoria won.

Rizevim was vapourised and was banished to the shadow realm. Not actually, but he lost.

However, what Artoria discovered was that his soul actually escaped in a controlled manner.

Normally when one died, their soul would dissipate, but not him. And the direction it was headed in was extremely bizarre.

When Artoria focused, she sensed holy energy akin to the holy grail, with enough magic to revive someone.

(I see.)

Ignoring that for now, she turned her gaze towards Crom.

"You…"

"I have multiple personalities."

"Oh right. Yeah that makes sense."

"Mmm."

"Then… are you going to kill me or something."

"Well, I don't mind, but the one inside doesn't so I guess I'm not. Although, if you speak a word about this to anyone, I will find you."

"Well that's scary. Don't worry, I won't speak of this to anyone."

At this moment, the barrier started to crumble down. Looking at the falling remains of the barrier, Crom asked one more question.

"I have a really important question."

"Go on."

"How is it that you're so strong? You are a human aren't you?"

"I am indeed a human, however you should've sensed my dragon heart."

"Yes but that doesn't explain it."

"Training. I have trained against people stronger than me lots. I have honed my craft and started from the basics. I trained and fought so much that I have reached this level."

"…I see. Thank you."

"Mm."

Crom then disappeared. Even if the entire school including those powerful beings were here, the only person who could follow Crom was Artoria.

Looking at him leaving, Artoria's battle uniform became her normal teacher uniform again and stored her blade away.

She then just left and went straight home.

And to Rizevim's credit, the barrier was really good. No traces of the battle were left behind.

After a short walk home, she sat down at her usual seat and began eating again.

Currently, Medea is having the biggest staring contest of her life right now. How did this happen?

On a day of break, she started the day by waking up nice and early, and after having a light breakfast she went straight to the library. Often in the earlier hours of the day, there were little people there, so she could enjoy herself by reading pieces of fiction in this world without being interrupted.

However, another reason why she goes so early… well, there's not little people there, there's no people there, since the library hasn't opened yet. She just abuses her magical powers to teleport inside.

Normally, this little trick works, however it was a bit different this time.

She met an old enemy of hers, or an old friend, who knows.

Simple, Medusa, aka rider from the holy grail war was sitting at the receptionist desk in the library, despite it being closed.

In Medusa's point of view, she was just minding her own business, reading books with her glasses, when she sensed a disruption in mana. Fixing her gaze at that position, she was soon met with the equally confused looked of Medea.

And we return back to the present. The two stared down each other.

Neither sides spoke, or moved. They didn't really know what to do either.

On Medea's side, she's never found herself in such a predicament since everyone she's ever stared at are either dead, or they are an overpowered being.

On Medusa's side, the poor snake has been blind for her entire life, so having a stare down so early is just bad luck.

Such an event lasted for an actual hour, before the library staff arrived, forcing the two to turn ther attention to them. The normal staff were also confused, and they questioned why those two were in there when the building was closed.

(Isn't that the new person? I saw her resume two days ago…)

"Don't worry about it."

"Don't worry about it."

The two said in perfect synchronisation.

Then, Medea left and went to the manga aisle, and she then sat down and opened a new manga that she planned to start for some time now.

(Kimetsu no Yaiba… It's about demons and humans fighting, but why is it so hyped up? I will have to investigate this…)

30 minutes later…

(Wait a minute… a nichirin blade? I swear the King of Imanity had such an item…)

Witch of Betrayal: King of Imanity, didn't you mention you had a sword called a nichirin blade before?

King of Imanity: Yeah? Why? It's a sick blade you know. It changes colour and its quite sturdy. It's perfect for me.

Witch of Betrayal: Oh. Well, it seems like it's from a work of fiction.

King of Imanity: A work of fiction?

Witch of Betrayal: Yeah so basically, I'm at a library right now, and there's a manga called demon slayer, and it seems like your nichirin blade came from this manga.

King of Imanity: Wait, so you're saying that this blade was copied from fiction? Could it be that all these items are copied from fiction?

Witch of Betrayal: Maybe, that's why I asked.

Ainz: Actually, I have a sort of idea. What if everything and everyone is a part of fiction, or a story in general? Or what if we are real, and it's just our worlds being documented down into books because of a powerful being?

Witch of Betrayal: That could be the case…

King of Imanity: Doesn't that mean that you're in the grand library of everything? Nah, Witch of Betrayal, are you really there?

Medea took a look at Medusa.

Witch of Betrayal: I don't think so. I don't really know now to be honest.

Ainz: Try having a look around and see if you could find anything that documents me.

Witch of Betrayal: Okay.

Witch of Betrayal: Nope. Nothing to do with you, and I also searched the rest of the group but still no.

Ainz: Then my guess is false.

Witch of Betrayal: I guess so. Admin, do you anything about this?

Admin: No not really.

"No not really." A soft murmur escaped her lips.

And those lips belonged to a certain someone with blue hair and red eyes. She was cooking in a kitchen, but if anyone looks really closely, like really closely, they would find that she wasn't concentrating on cooking at the moment.

Instead, her eyes would look a tiny bit unfocused.

Her lips moved again, but barely.

"I feel like I'm just a random person in this chat to be honest. I don't even know why I'm admin."

Admin: I feel like I'm just a random person in this chat to be honest. I don't even know why I'm admin."…

And then she smiled…

"Right Ciel…"

"Yeah?"

"I'm reading this manga yeah…"

"Yeah…?"

"And I don't like the ending."

"And why don't you like it?"

"Cos it's just… like. All the characters die, and it doesn't fulfil me if you get what I mean."

"Nope. Not even omniscience can understand you Rimuru."

"…I'll take that as a compliment."

"Take it however you will."

"Right, we are getting sidetracked. I want you to send me into this world so I can make a complete ending! Something that a reader like me would enjoy reading!"

"Okay… a bit random. Can't you go yourself?"

"Yeah, I tried, but then I realised I can't be bothered."

"And why do you think I can be bothered?"

"Because you are the most amazing, most beautiful and sincere and compassionate person I know."

"Huh." A brief flash of surprise flickered in Ciel's eyes before she supressed it and just looked on coldly at Rimuru, who started to shrink across the room.

She then smiled and him, "hehe."

"Wait a minute… that face… don't tell me…."

"Have a good time husband!" With a wave of her hand, she disabled Rimuru's defenses for a second and sent him staggering into the infinite void.

Before he knew it, he made landing in this new world.

(Ughh. She can be so cruel. No warning aswell.)

"Sigh… huh?" As he let out a sigh, he found out that his voice sounded strangely masculine.

He then looked down to find himself wearing a smart suit. He also realised he was wearing a white fedora on his head…
