"So, it's like that." Muria understood. When he received the Void Egg, he knew it had its consciousness and wasn't in a mindless state.
At that moment, "Crack!" a clear sound of shattering reached Muria's ears. Standing atop the ruins of the half-castle, the black-haired, golden-eyed youth looked up to see a massive black fissure appear above him — a spatial crack!
Under Muria's gaze, a column of red and white light, swirling with pure white arcs of electricity, shot straight down from the shattered spatial crack towards Muria's location.
"Boom!" Shattered stones flew everywhere, and the mountaintop with only half a castle left vanished completely, leaving behind a charred crater filled with crystalline structures formed from the high heat.
"Cassio, your coordinates are really precise." Muria, who had already flashed to one side, twitched his mouth at his former standing spot, now a massive crater.
The majestic castle was gone. Considering it was built by a nearly hundred-meter-long evil dragon for itself, one could imagine its vast scale.
"I am linked by blood to Your Highness," a gentle voice sounded in Muria's mind.
"This isn't teleportation; it's more like a long-range magical cannon attack." Muria couldn't help but comment, looking at the future site of a mountaintop lake, the crater.
"Prince Muria, I do not possess the ability for long-range attacks."
"The first time you teleported me, you flattened a valley; now, your teleportation has made a castle disappear."
"Your Highness, this is just the normal dissipation of power during teleportation, not within the scope of attack."
"I'll take your word for it." Muria couldn't help but retort, then landed at the edge of the crater. The intense heat caused the air around the crater to distort, and at the very bottom was a rapidly solidifying magma pool.
In the center of the molten gold lava was a ten-meter-tall black giant egg, covered in flickering golden patterns. As the light from the patterns brightened and dimmed, the scorching hot lava rapidly solidified; it was absorbing heat.
But compared to its previous capability to devour metals and stones, this level was almost child's play. In Muria's perception, the power accumulated by the egg seemed to have reached a saturation point, giving him a sense of fullness.
It wasn't that the egg's devouring power had diminished, but rather that it had reached its limit of absorption; it could no longer consume any more.
Feeling Muria's approach, the giant egg wobbled, emitting a joyful soul vibration.
Feeling this vibration, a smile appeared on Muria's face. For over a decade, he had been nurturing it daily with his power, until the Void Egg consumed all of it, leaving him feeling weak and exhausted every day.
It felt like torture, but now it seemed his efforts were rewarded — the Void Egg had a MAX level of fondness for him.
"Come out, my companion!" Muria's face broke into a radiant smile, sending a mental wave of summons towards the wobbling giant egg.
"Crack!" Fine cracks appeared on the black eggshell covered in golden patterns. Soon, the cracks spread across the entire egg, and shell fragments fell away, revealing a "young" being that looked up with golden eyes, locking gaze with Muria.
"What kind of joke is this?" Even with Muria's vast experience, he couldn't help but exclaim in surprise. From within the shell, another, younger "him" was curling up, lifting its head to meet Muria's gaze with eyes of the same color.
Seeing Muria's shocked expression, the "Muria" hatched from the Void Egg smiled at him, a proud grin as if a child had successfully pulled off a prank and was seeing the fruits of their labor.
"Crack!" With six dragon horns on its forehead, wings on its back, and a dragon tail wrapped around its body, the "Muria" picked up a piece of the broken shell and started nibbling on it, having its first meal after breaking the shell.
"Prince Muria, what happened?" The red dragon Altres, scavenging bodies on the battlefield, looked towards the smoking mountaintop and couldn't help but ask loudly, driven by curiosity.
"Shut up, just clean up the battlefield and don't come over."
"Understood!" Hearing Muria's rebuke, the red dragon quickly complied, continuing to diligently scavenge the remains of the tooth dragons. Even as a dragon, it shared the common draconic penchant for hoarding treasures.
Looking at the young "self," which had a similar size to his own dragonling phase, Muria's expression was complex as he dispelled his human transformation, returning to his most primal form, the Dragon Titan without armor.
Approaching the "self" nibbling on eggshells, Muria, in his true form, with sharp, heroic features and a completely different aura from his human form, stepped into the still-hot magma. Within a few steps, he arrived in front of the Void Egg, looking down at the "suspicious creature" munching on eggshells.
Although the creature hatched from the Void Egg resembled Muria from thirty years ago, he didn't believe it was a brother or uncle because his blood did not resonate with this being.
This "suspicious creature" had no blood relation to Muria, nor to his parents or grandparents. Yet, it resembled a younger Muria.
"What's your name?" Muria asked, staring at the creature crunching on eggshells, voicing his inner question, "Why do you look so much like me?"
"I don't have what you call a true name." The "young Titan" didn't look up from its meal, "As for why I resemble you now, don't you have a clue? I don't share your bloodline."
"Because you've been devouring my power?" Muria ventured, the only reason he could think of for the creature's resemblance to him.
"It was you who fed me willingly." The young Muria, cheeks bulging with shell fragments, looked up displeased at the hybrid Titan towering over her.
"That's not the point, is it? We share no blood relation, so why do you look like me? How could my power possibly influence your form?"
