Chapter 313: Authority

"What's your relationship with that Dragon Prince?" Outside the room of the elemental pool, Talin looked worriedly at the human, dragon, and white tiger in front of him.

These assorted beings, gathered in a haphazard manner, all lay around lazily, as if nothing mattered. The red-haired human youth even sat cross-legged on the ground, holding a fire elemental crystal, practicing his breathing techniques.

"Whom are you asking?" Otis, the red dragon lying on the ground pretending to sleep, opened one eye slightly.

"I'm asking this white tiger," Talin said, not bothering with the other dragons who had started to doze off.

According to their description, they should all be followers of Muria, but while Muria was fighting inside, they, with their limited abilities, could not follow. Yet, their attitude was so lax, fully displaying the indifferent nature of the chromatic dragons.

"Me?" Troy, the lazy white tiger, looked towards Talin, "My relationship with Muria is that of partners, partners who share life and death."

"Why aren't you worried at all then?" Talin found it hard to understand upon hearing Troy's words. To him, these beings seemed far too indifferent.

"What is there to worry about Muria for?" Troy raised his head, looking somewhat surprised at Talin.

"Behind this door, there are nearly ten elemental lords, and although they are mostly in a slumber, if even one awakens..."

"Is that it?" Talin was cut off by Otis, the red dragon, who looked disdainful, "Don't mention just one elemental lord awakening, even if they all awoke, they couldn't possibly harm Prince Muria."

As a red dragon that had personally experienced the hardness of the Holy Royal Abyss, Otis was the most confident in Muria's survival abilities among the chromatic dragons. That defense was something that could break their teeth.

"There's no need to worry about Prince Muria's safety. Rather than worrying about him, we should worry about ourselves," Fiona, the ancient green dragon who had also experienced the despair-inducing defense of the Holy Royal Abyss, lazily said.

"I'm more concerned about those elemental lords you mentioned. If one wakes up and comes out of this door, Prince can stand up to them, but we can't."

"That shouldn't happen," Talin said, looking at the shattered door, somewhat uncertain.

"Hey, do you know what happened inside this room? How is Prince Muria?" Otis stretched out his dragon claw, pointing at Talin.

"I don't know," Talin shook his head awkwardly, "After these elemental pools started acting up, I lost control over that area."

"Worthless Talin." Hearing Talin admit his incompetence, Otis looked disdainful. As the tower's spirit, not being able to control its own "body," especially the core area, truly made him worthless.

Talin's elemental form twisted in frustration upon hearing the red dragon's insult. Clearly, he was upset by Otis's words, and at the same time, he felt wronged.

Everything was the mess created by his master, Hainar. When the elemental pools started to mutate due to the accumulation of residual elements, he was aware but could only watch helplessly as everything spiraled out of control due to the limitations of being a Talin.

Truly, Talin was helpless.

...

As the half-plane's night sky turned to day with the rise of the main material realm's sun, Muria, carrying a drowsy Yindila, walked out of the broken door.

"Prince Muria!" "Muria!" Several voices filled with concern rang out.

"Hmm," Muria nodded, holding Yindila, who seemed to have fallen asleep from overeating.

"How did it go?" Seeing Muria with a hint of tiredness between his brows, Talin asked excitedly.

"You're Talin, instead of asking me, why don't you go and feel it for yourself?"

Hearing Muria's words, Talin's form dispersed, turning into specks of light that merged into the surrounding formations.

In less than ten breaths' time, enough for Muria to hand the sleeping Yindila to Fiona to hold, Talin's figure reformed in front of Muria, his human-like face full of surprise.

"All those elemental lords, gone. How did you do it?"

"They were all in a slumber. Just killed them directly," Muria said calmly, as if what he had done was extremely simple.

"Killed them directly... and their guards?"

"Killed them too."

"How did you manage to kill all those powerful guards?"

"One by one," Muria answered composedly, not mentioning the difficult battles he had just been through.

The battle fluctuations with the Earth Elemental Lord had already alarmed all elemental beings in that space, especially the elemental elders, who possessed intelligence no less than humans. Thus, they were extremely wary of Muria's actions and had gathered their elemental beings in advance to prepare.

But it only made Muria spend more time. With the Elemental Lords in slumber, unable to awaken, Muria's relationship with these elemental beings was like that of a hungry tiger among lambs - he could kill them as he pleased.

One after another, the Elemental Lords, in the process of nurturing their slumber, were killed by Muria, and one micro-elemental world after another shattered. In the end, the remaining elemental beings even united in an attempt to resist Muria.

It's imaginable how desperate Muria had pushed them, but to no avail. They couldn't escape the fate of death. Apart from the Earth Elemental Lord, no other Elemental Lord awoke. All Elemental Lords were in a problematic state, allowing Muria to slaughter them at will.

Muria's straightforward answer left Talin speechless. He didn't know how to respond, as he couldn't find any existence similar to Muria in his database.

"Hand it over," Muria extended his hand towards Talin.

"What?" Talin looked at Muria, somewhat puzzled.

"Hand over the authority to control this half-plane." Muria said, as if it was the most natural thing, and seeing Talin hesitate, he added, "Don't make me use force."

"You're a gold dragon, how can you rob others of their property?"

Hearing Talin's words, Muria looked at him as if he were an idiot: "This half-plane, and this mage tower, have already lost their master. Now they belong to no one. Naturally, they should go to the most capable."
