Chapter 322: Commanding Talent

"Blue Skin, speak respectfully to your commander," Autolycus commanded, using his formidable physique to pin the old blue dragon to the ground, arrogantly pressing the dragon's head into the dirt with one of his claws.

Roars of protest rose from the blue-scaled younger dragons that followed the elder blue dragon, wanting to come to their master's aid.

However, the three soul-tier green dragons by Fiona's side knew precisely when to act. They rushed to Autolycus's side, reverted to their true forms, and with a few flaps and swipes of their tails, easily repelled the group of younger dragons.

"Why be so smart about it?" Autolycus muttered under his breath, somewhat displeased by the green dragons' reaction.

His sudden attack on the old blue dragon was sparked by seeing Renata's affectionate demeanor towards Muria. This scene made Autolycus, who had lived for over six hundred years and become a dragon of spirit, realize something instantly and take action against the elder blue dragon.

It was an attempt to curry favor with Renata, or rather, to show goodwill—in a more subtle manner, the old dragon was trying to ingratiate itself with Renata.

Knowing that gold dragons are monogamous, if he guessed correctly who Muria's partner would be, the benefits he could reap in the future might surpass his imagination. And even if he guessed wrong, the way Muria treated this younger dragon showed that his overtures would not go unrewarded.

"Muria, how are you feeling?" Renata, appearing as a red-haired, red-eyed beautiful young girl, landed on Troy's back, holding the drowsy Muria in her arms, and asked with concern.

"Can't you tell? His strength is growing every moment," Troy replied, his eyes swirling with blue light. "If he were not well, Erathia would be in poor shape. Now, get off me before I lose my temper."

"Don't be angry, Troy," Renata said with an unconcerned smile, then flew off his body, taking Muria with her.

"Put Muria down," Troy demanded, feeling a void on his back, his blue tiger eyes glaring at Renata.

"I haven't seen Muria for a long time, Troy. Let me hold him for a while."

"It's been less than a year. What do you mean, 'a long time'? Put him back."

"I refuse," Renata stated firmly, holding the human-formed Muria, who was half a head shorter, tightly in her arms.

"Merely a red dragon," Troy growled threateningly.

"Enough, you two," Muria, who had been dozing off, opened his eyes and slightly frowned upon seeing the red-haired girl holding him tightly.

"Let me go, Renata."

"Alright," Renata reluctantly let go of him upon hearing Muria's request.

"Renata, can you come with me now?" Muria asked directly, feeling like he could fall asleep again at any moment.

"Muria, as much as I want to go with you...," Renata's face twisted with conflict, "Lady Bronya needs me. Without my command, these monsters stand no chance against the combined attack of humans. Zaichek would inevitably fall to human forces."

"You have command talent," Muria was somewhat surprised by Renata's words; he had been unaware of this.

"Of course. When you were off fighting with other Titans, this red dragon was studying military command," Troy interjected lazily.

"I don't remember any military books among those I took from my mother," Muria said, puzzled; he had chosen books on magic.

"One of the books you took had a military book mixed in," Renata said softly, avoiding his gaze.

"Reading one book on military command allows you to command a large army?" Muria looked around; there were countless fierce monsters of various kinds, roughly estimated to number over a million. Many were looking at him.

Of course, Muria wasn't concerned. This level of attention was easily ignored.

Moreover, Renata's command talent was more captivating than the attention of these monsters.

The ability to command and deploy a million-strong army was the mark of a general capable of destroying nations.

To reach such a level from a single book? Impossible, even if the military saint of Muria's previous life were reborn here.

"Of course not just because of a book," Troy explained somewhat helplessly. "You didn't notice Renata's interest in this, but Cassiopeia did. Whenever you were away fighting, Cassiopeia provided Renata with Titan data bank knowledge on war command."

"Why didn't you tell me?" Muria's expression turned displeased; he was only learning of this now. "Troy, why didn't you tell me at the time?"

"Muria, don't blame Troy and Cassiopeia. I asked them to keep it a secret," Renata said, looking guilty and embarrassed. "I hid this from you because I was afraid you'd think I was wasting my time on useless knowledge."

"Afraid I'd stop you from studying military command?" Muria rubbed his forehead in exasperation. "Am I that short-sighted in your eyes?"

"Muria, I was wrong," Renata said, looking embarrassed, sensing from his tone that he was not against her studying military command.

"Theory and practice are different. How did you gain Bronya's trust and take command of her monsters?" Muria was curious.

"That's not for you to worry about. Cassiopeia helped Renata with several real-combat simulations, and her command skills are indeed commendable," Troy said, yawning, and added, "That's Cassiopeia's assessment."

"Okay," Muria nodded, deciding not to call Cassiopeia for confirmation. Troy wouldn't lie to him.

"In that case, wait until the war is over to leave with me."
