Muria watched as the goblin named Stallone, along with his stall, slowly disappeared from his sight without any spatial fluctuations.
It was as if the plane merchant had never existed, making everything Muria had just experienced seem like an illusion.
"What a waste of a good name!" Muria muttered under his breath as he watched the goblin merchant Stallone vanish.
"What are you talking about, Muria?" Troy, the little white cat perched on Muria's shoulder, looked at him with surprise. It was only now that it heard Muria speaking.
"What did it look like I was doing just now?"
"Weren't you just staring at that knight statue, deep in thought?" Troy, transformed into a little white cat, appeared confused. "Did you do something else?"
"There was a goblin here just now." Muria pointed to the empty space in front of him. "I conducted a transaction with it."
Troy stared at Muria with its green vertical pupils, then carefully inspected the spot Muria had pointed to, its paws unconsciously scratching Muria's shoulder.
"I didn't see the goblin you mentioned. Neither of us could have hallucinated, so was there something special about the goblin you traded with?"
"It sold me a batch of legendary metals and a book, all now in my spatial ring. It claimed to be a plane merchant, with the real name Stallone."
"I've never heard of it." Troy scratched its chin, feeling somewhat displeased that Muria could see and interact with an entity that it could not.
"Why can you see it, or rather, why can only you see it?" Troy didn't doubt Muria's words; with his Titan and golden dragon lineage, Muria wouldn't lie.
"It said that only the chosen ones of fate can see them, the plane merchants." Muria's expression turned odd as he spoke. Although he felt his lineage was indeed favored by fate, the idea of fate itself was something he was reluctant to believe in.
"Fate's chosen?" Troy rolled its eyes and snorted disdainfully. Erathia once had a so-called God of Fate, but that didn't stop it from being killed by a more powerful deity. So, it didn't believe in fate at all.
"The world is so vast, it's not strange that there are some very special beings." After a brief moment of annoyance, Troy decided not to dwell on it any longer. It knew well that the world was full of creatures it couldn't understand, even if it encountered them without realizing they had existed.
But today, it had learned of their existence through Muria.
"Troy." Muria, agreeing with Troy's perspective, looked over at Auston and the other dragons. "Should we keep a low profile? Just wandering around seems to have attracted the real nobility of this city."
"Shallow humans." Troy followed Muria's gaze and saw a group of elegantly dressed noble men and women who had gathered around the group of dragons, constantly offering compliments.
"Auston, it's time to go." Finding the scene rather amusing, Muria noted how this group of non-human oddities was mistaken for nobility.
And after attracting the attention of the local nobility, these human nobles seemed to regard them as grand nobles from a more powerful country, treating them with great respect.
"Muria, what were you just doing?" Hearing Muria's voice, Auston, who had been annoyed by the human nobles, looked over at him.
At that moment, Auston felt something was off; it had seemingly ignored Muria's presence entirely. When the human nobles had swarmed them, they hadn't sought Muria's help but had managed with a group of dragons a few years younger.
"Nothing much." Muria, having confirmed through Troy that the goblin Stallone was unique, didn't elaborate. The cat on his shoulder hadn't been aware of what he had been doing, and neither were these others; they too couldn't have seen the green-skinned goblin.
"What are these?" Muria asked Auston, feigning ignorance as he looked toward the nobles gathered around his young dragons.
"The local nobility of this city." Auston replied curtly, without any intention of offering a detailed introduction. Dismissive of these human nobles, his attitude carried a trace of disdain.
Yet even with such arrogant behavior, these human nobles still smiled obligingly, behaving as if it was all perfectly natural. They continued trying to converse with Muria's dragons, aiming to forge connections.
Compared to the nearby commoners, these human nobles, although dressed luxuriously and behaving elegantly, displayed the typical haughtiness of the ruling class.
However, when standing next to the young dragons, even the most inexperienced commoner could spot the immense gap between them.
The difference in attire was stark—the clothes crafted by cloud giants were beyond comparison to those
worn by these human nobles.
There was no need to even discuss appearances; dragons transformed into humans possessed nearly perfect features. The males were distinguished and imposing, while the females were breathtakingly beautiful.
In terms of demeanor, these dragons naturally dominated the human nobles. The inherently proud five-colored dragons didn't need to pretend to look down on humans.
In fact, Muria observed that although some of the dragons were conversing with the nobles, they hardly looked at them directly, maintaining an arrogant, commanding air.
And some dragons completely ignored these clingy human nobles, occasionally glancing at them with utter disdain, clearly not considering these nobles worth their time.
Yet this extreme arrogance solidified their status as grand nobles in the minds of the local nobility—who else but grand nobles could maintain such a demeanor, utterly disregarding them?
Thus, even though it was somewhat humiliating for the local nobles, they continued to eagerly curry favor with these dragon-turned-humans. Their beauty alone was enough to kindle admiration and a willingness to grovel.
After all, currying favor well could lead to favor from any one of these "grand nobles," a ticket to soaring status.
Thus, what Muria saw was each male dragon surrounded by three to six nobles, and similarly, each female dragon encircled by a variable number of male nobles.
