Muria's answer made Mikaela silently stare at him without any shyness on her face. She was always like this, with her wings burning with eternal Seraph flames, looking more like a Titan disguised as a Seraph. Mikaela was even more combative than Muria. She was equally indifferent about matters of affection, not caring much about them.
"You like my granddaughter," Aludiba's gaze softened considerably as he looked at his granddaughter. "So, my granddaughter, what about you? How do you feel about Muria?"
The Seraph Aludiba asked for his granddaughter's opinion. Compared to whether Muria liked his granddaughter, what mattered more was Mikaela's own feelings and whom she liked.
"Do you mean becoming Muria's mate?" Mikaela asked calmly.
"That's one way to put it," the Starshine Dragon King responded.
"I see." Mikaela looked at Muria, thinking seriously, then turned to her grandfather. "I'm fine with it."
"You're willing?" Aludiba's tone was peculiar, and his recently extinguished wings of celestial flame seemed to reignite. "Why do you like him? What do you see in him?"
"Because he's very strong, and he seems to have gotten even stronger now, though he was a bit weak at first." Mikaela answered, indicating that Muria's combat prowess was the main reason she didn't reject him.
"There are plenty of young Seraphs in our race who are strong fighters," Elishu, despite understanding he had no chance, still didn't want his dream girl to be with a half-blood. "Many can surpass Muria."
"But none can fight him on equal terms. I've already fought them all." Mikaela confidently replied. She knew Muria's combat strength was nearly unmatched at their level, with only her as his equal.
"Heh, since both youngsters fancy each other, let's settle this matter," the Starshine Dragon King said, exchanging a glance with the Blue Wave Dragon King and the King of the Mountains, instantly reaching a consensus.
"If this matter is settled, we won't pursue the issue of your Seraph race insulting our Dragon King lineage. After all, they'll be together."
"Then continue to pursue it!" Aludiba snorted coldly. He never intended to sacrifice his granddaughter's personal feelings for some so-called greater good. Anyone who dared to make his granddaughter a political pawn would face his wrath.
"Isn't this a perfect solution?" the Blue Wave Dragon King questioned. "Your granddaughter and Muria fancy each other, and with them together, we'll overlook the insult to our lineage."
"Or do you, Aludiba, look down on Muria, the Titan-Dragon hybrid?" the Starshine Dragon King asked.
"There's the matter of lineage and bloodline inheritance," Aludiba voiced his concerns. "Muria is indeed outstanding. In the entire Celestial Realm and Erathia, besides my granddaughter, there may be no one who can match him. But being with Mikaela will lead to no results."
"This old guy can't even compliment without mentioning his granddaughter," Oswaldo muttered.
"Is it just a matter of offspring?" the Starshine Dragon King inquired.
"Muria is already a legend. The likelihood of him having descendants is very low," Aludiba expressed his concern. Moreover, what would the offspring of Muria and Mikaela be? A mix of Titan, Seraph, and Dragon King bloodlines—he couldn't imagine what his great-grandchild would be like.
"As long as Muria reaches Epic, the issue of offspring can be resolved with a bit of source energy," the Starshine Dragon King remarked dismissively. Many Dragon Kings used some source energy to have true Dragon King offspring, creating their own lineages.
"Can you guarantee Muria will reach Epic?" Aludiba retorted. "I can guarantee my granddaughter will become a true Seraph. I've prepared everything for her."
"..." The three Dragon Kings fell silent. Achieving Epic was incredibly difficult. No one could guarantee success because luck played a significant role, and even Epics could fall in the void.
"His chances of becoming an Epic are higher than those of an average Titan," Aludiba acknowledged after a brief look at Muria. Though he couldn't see through Muria completely, even what he could see was impressive. But to become an Epic, it wasn't enough.
"Lord Aludiba, if the issue is just about descendants, I think I can solve it," Muria stepped forward calmly.
"Oh?"
"My body also contains source energy," Muria said, clenching his fist. "Although I've used a lot to achieve my current strength, I believe I have enough left."
"Do you know what you're saying? Do you understand what source energy represents?" Aludiba asked, not hiding his astonishment.
"I understand," Muria replied, lifting his head. "Source energy is nearly omnipotent, possessing the power to create and change everything. With source energy, one can constantly break limits, surpass all realities, and create impossible beings."
"You're willing to give it up?"
"Why not?"
"Do you know how much source energy can help you? Do you understand how much it can increase your chances of becoming an Epic?"
"I've already used part of it, and it's enough." Muria smiled confidently. The source energy from Deimos had elevated his dragon bloodline and broken the limits of his two bloodlines. Otherwise, he couldn't have formed such an exaggerated number of soul rings. His foundation was so solid that few in history could compare.
"My two grandfathers became Epics without my current foundation. If they could do it, so can I."
"Muria!" A voice sounded in Muria's ear. He turned to see the Ten Rulers looking at him with a kind smile. "Among Titans, no offspring have ever sacrificed their future potential for a goal."
"Aludiba, if you agree to my descendant being with your granddaughter, I will provide the source energy," the Ten Rulers said, having decided. Though he hadn't ventured into the void for a long time, he still had enough source energy.
"I don't lack that source energy," Aludiba responded, gazing at Muria. "Young one, your willingness to pay such a high price shows your determination, but it's not enough."
"What more do you want?" the Starshine Dragon King asked, dissatisfied. "Don't go too far."
"Mikaela says you're the strongest at your level. Are you willing to prove it?"
"Prove it how?" Muria asked, clenching his fist, his fighting spirit rising. Though the situation was unexpected, everything was moving in a good direction, and it seemed only one step remained.
"Challenge the Seraph race… no, all the young elites of the Celestial Realm. Defeat them and prove you're the strongest as Mikaela claims."
"That's too much!" the Starshine Dragon King protested, seeing this as deliberate difficulty.
"It's not so bad," Oswaldo remarked, glancing at the wingless Elishu. "A Seraph two levels higher than Muria couldn't defeat him. Even if you expand the scope to the Celestial Realm, there won't be many who can match Muria."
"Do you accept?" Aludiba asked, his gaze intensely pressuring Muria.
"I accept," Muria answered confidently, lightning flashing in his eyes. Mikaela's eyes lit up but then dimmed, realizing she couldn't get involved in this.
"Good. First, fight our Seraph geniuses as a warm-up. During that time, I will spread the news of your challenge to all the geniuses of the Celestial Realm. When you defeat them all, I will agree to your engagement with my granddaughter!"
"Grandfather, that's too much. There are so many in our race; how can Muria handle it?" Mikaela pretended to be dissatisfied, her eyes eager. "I'll fight in his place until I'm defeated, then he can take over."
"You're not even engaged yet," Aludiba said, exasperated. "And you're already rushing to protect him?"
"You're making him fight in a gauntlet. That's unfair. I can fight for him," Mikaela insisted.
"In what capacity will you fight for him?" Aludiba's face darkened. "You haven't confirmed your relationship yet."
"Uh," Mikaela furrowed her brow in thought. The temptation of fighting all the geniuses of the Celestial Realm was irresistible. She looked at Muria and remembered what he once told her. "I'm Muria's girlfriend. I can fight for him when he's tired."
"Girlfriend?" Aludiba's brow furrowed.
"An unofficial lover," Mikaela recalled Muria's words.
"Heh, when did he tell you that?"
"Over fifty years ago."
"Boy, you've got good taste. You set your sights on my granddaughter over fifty years ago," Aludiba chuckled. Fifty years ago, this boy was barely grown, yet already thinking of his granddaughter.
"The Seventh to Nineteenth Holy Light Legions, assemble and spread the word throughout the Celestial Realm that someone from the main world has come to conquer the Celestial Realm's elites," Aludiba ordered.
