Chapter 474: Generous

Linda Evangelista, one of the top supermodels of the 90s, was an unexpected presence at the ICM party.

However, a little thought clarified things for Simon.

She must have signed an acting contract with ICM.

ICM had always been closely connected with the fashion world. Stars like Rene Russo and Cindy Crawford, who were making waves in the fashion industry, were also signed with ICM.

"What a surprise, Linda. I didn't expect to see you here."

Linda Evangelista also showed a surprised expression and shook hands with Simon, "I saw you come in, Simon. Unfortunately, I'm just a little shrimp and didn't dare to come say hi. Oh, and Miss Kidman, hello. I saw 'Pulp Fiction' and thought Mia's dance in the film was fantastic."

"Thank you."

Nicole shook hands with Linda but found it hard to compliment her as she didn't know the short-haired beauty in front of her very well.

Fortunately, another voice saved Nicole from her awkwardness.

"Linda, try the cocktail I made... Wow, Mr. Westeros, you, um, hello."

Simon looked at the woman approaching with a cocktail in hand. She appeared to be in her thirties, with a height comparable to Nicole and Linda, wearing a stylish silver-gray silk dress. Her brown hair and soft, yet captivating face were sure to make most men's hearts race.

Noticing Simon's gaze, the woman smiled and offered the cocktail to Simon, "Mr. Westeros, would you like to try the cocktail I made?"

"Sure." Simon nodded, handed his drink to Nicole, and took the cocktail from the woman, taking a sip and praising it, "Very good."

Linda Evangelista was dissatisfied, "Joan, wasn't that drink meant for me?"

"I'm Joan Severance," the woman introduced herself to Simon, shaking his hand before handing the other drink she was holding to Linda, "Here, you can have this one."

Linda took it without hesitation and then asked, "What about you?"

Joan Severance looked at the drink Nicole was holding and, with a flirtatious glance, asked, "Simon, do you mind if I have that one?"

Simon raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Of course not."

Nicole wanted to hand over her drink.

But in front of Simon, she didn't dare to show any pettiness. Reluctantly, she handed the drink to the seductive woman across from her, who elegantly sipped it, making Nicole feel a bit down.

Linda Evangelista, observing the scene, exclaimed, "Joan, you're my idol from now on."

Joan Severance responded with justified pride, "Thank you."

Simon was puzzled, "What idol?"

Linda Evangelista seemed surprised, "You don't know Joan?"

Simon shook his head slightly.

Hollywood could be both very small and very large.

With so many names in his memory, Simon would have some impression of anyone notable. He did find Joan Severance familiar at first glance.

But for someone not too important, Simon wasn't interested in delving deeper.

Linda explained, "Joan was much more famous than Rene Russo over a decade ago. I had her posters all over my room and decided to become a model because of her. So, Joan is the true original supermodel."

Listening to Linda, Simon thought such comments were a bit age-revealing.

Was Evangelista doing it on purpose?

Simon took another look at Joan Severance.

She looked convincingly thirty. However, under thirty wouldn't be fitting, as her mature aura was unhideable yet incredibly alluring.

Given that Linda compared her to Rene Russo, they should be of similar age.

Rene Russo, also an ICM artist, had gained significant roles with Simon's support, like her Oscar-nominated performance in Scorsese's "Goodfellas" and her role in "Jurassic Park," currently being filmed in Hawaii.

With a contract for the "Jurassic Park" trilogy, Russo's position as a leading mid-career actress was secure.

Hollywood actresses over thirty had slim chances of success, making Rene Russo an enviable exception for many peers.

This inside story wasn't exactly a secret.

Joan Severance's attention was clearly on Simon. After Linda finished speaking, she continued to look at him, asking, "Simon, does Daenerys Entertainment have any interesting film projects?"

Simon nodded, "Yes, many. Which type are you interested in?"

"The type that suits me," Joan Severance flirtatiously suggested, "You did drink my cocktail."

Before Simon could respond, Linda Evangelista chimed in, "Joan, I think you should be more subtle."

"One cocktail might get you ten seconds of screen time." Simon joked, then asked, "What films have you done recently?"

"I played a villain in Gene Wilder's 'Hear No Evil, See No Evil' and starred with Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn in 'Bird on a Wire.' Recently, I just finished a comedy called 'Almost Pregnant,' about a couple who use donor sperm to conceive."

As Joan was talking, another female voice joined, "What's everyone discussing?"

Simon turned around.

He had just thought of Cindy Crawford, and here she was.

There were so many guests tonight that Simon hadn't noticed her earlier.

Cindy greeted everyone and then stood next to Simon, looking at Linda Evangelista and Joan Severance.

Seeing Cindy, Nicole remembered the time they were together at the "Batman: The Dark Knight" celebration party and got a bad feeling about the current situation.

She wanted to escape.

Simon answered honestly, "Joan was asking if Daenerys Entertainment had any suitable film roles for her."

Cindy glanced at Severance and Evangelista, then said, "If there are, I think I might be more suitable."

Simon had already sensed Cindy's hostility, which became even more evident with this remark.

But he quickly understood.

Not just Joan Severance, but Linda Evangelista stepping into Hollywood was clearly a move to grab resources.

Hollywood had few opportunities for these supermodel-turned-actresses.

Noticing Severance and Evangelista cozying up to Simon made Cindy vigilant.

She had earned over a million dollars in personal merchandise from her minor but eye-catching role in "Batman: The Dark Knight" and didn't want to lose such opportunities to other women.

Joan Severance glanced at Cindy and said, "That's not necessarily true. Everyone has their own style."

Nicole, feeling the tension, finally tugged at Simon's sleeve, "Simon, maybe we should leave."

Simon checked his watch and saw the women watching him. Seriously, he suggested, "How about this, let's go somewhere else and discuss your individual styles in detail."

Nicole instantly thought, "Bastard, I knew it."

Cindy instinctively looked at Simon, then at the other two women, with a playful glint in her eyes.

Joan Severance seemed surprised by Simon's 'suggestion,' her red lips slightly parted.

Linda Evangelista stared wide-eyed and retorted, "Simon, you're too greedy."

She then lowered her voice.

After all, they were in a room full of people, many probably watching them.

Simon remained serious, "Linda, you're misunderstanding. I actually mean, I just set up a beachfront villa in Hawaii at the beginning of the year, on Kauai Island, with a private beach. Maybe we can fly over. Imagine, sunshine, beaches, facing the sea. Such a setting can really spark creativity."

Linda immediately thought of the Boeing 767 often mentioned in newspapers and magazines and felt tempted.

If it were just her, she'd have agreed.

But...

Four women!

Could he handle it?

So she mockingly asked, "Then, will we all be the lead actresses?"

Simon didn't confirm or deny, "Want to bet on it?"

With that, Simon took out a mini brick phone that was clearly not available on the market, dialed a few numbers, and quietly arranged for a flight.

After hanging up, Simon looked at the women again, "So, if you're not going, Nicole and I will leave."

Without waiting for a response, Simon led Nicole towards the exit.

Cindy Crawford, without hesitation, followed and wrapped her arm around his.

Seeing Cindy's move, Linda Evangelista, feeling competitive, also followed. Joan Severance hesitated for a moment before following as well.

In the front yard parking lot, Cindy, holding Simon's arm, noticed the following women and whispered in his ear, "You should thank me."

Simon understood and smiled, "I'll thank you properly later."

Cindy rolled her eyes at him.

This guy couldn't even make an empty promise.

Her role in "Batman: The Dark Knight" had stemmed from a casual promise Simon had made to a few girls at his 20th birthday party.

Many at the party saw Simon leave with four stunning women. Most men were left with envy.

As they fantasized about how Simon and the women would spend the night, some actresses began investigating their backgrounds and worrying about new competition.

From Sandra Bullock to Nicole Kidman, Julia Roberts, Valeria Golino, Demi Moore, Rene Russo... Simon had brought many actresses to prominence over the years.

Counting them, some women began regretting not being one of the four earlier.

Compared to many unscrupulous guys in Hollywood who forget women after they're done, Simon Westeros was very 'generous' in some aspects.

In Hollywood, many could gather four or more women at once.

However, the four women Simon just took away were not easily attainable. Even the heads of the Big Seven studios would likely only get eye-rolls, and maybe a slap, if they tried to make such a request.

Yet, when Westeros did it, it wasn't surprising.

This 24-year-old had power, wealth, status, and an appearance comparable to Hollywood stars, making him irresistibly

attractive to women. Those aware of his influence in Hollywood found it even harder to resist.

Of course, this spicy gossip would become a hot topic in the industry.

However, it would remain just gossip.

Evidence of Westeros's affairs would be hard to catch, and even if found, it wouldn't appear in the media.

Ultimately, the Hollywood gossip the public sees is mostly what the insiders allow them to see.
