Lazy translation and boring writing. Basically another Chinese man who's good at everything reincarnated to USA 1986, working with unknown actors but became really famous in 2000s+. It's just really stupid, author didn't even bother to research the actors of that time, and just repeatedly mention factoids that never happened yet. MC is also 18 yo, like really? You can't make it at least mid-20s? Every character is also acting like a Xianxia character, it's just irritating. Fast release though, but you might as well read the MTL.

Guys, its a good book not unlike I am in Hollywood. Personally I didn’t find any problem with the grammar and the wish fulfillment aspect is there which is great. Definitely recommend. The only reason for not giving a 5 star is that you(author) claimed in the tags that this is a harem novel. I’m above 120 chapters now and there is NO sign of any harem. I’m not saying that the romance is bad. It’s actually one of the best dynamics I’ve read but I won’t deny i came for the harem in first place and it’s just not there. And inserting a harem after that much character dev between the MC and FMC will be unfavourable for the story. You should remove the harem tag at this point cause its deceiving if you claim and not deliver. This is the only reason I am thinking of dropping the novel as my reading preference is actually harem genre. Apart from that this is a great novel with interesting storyline and captivating development.

Honestly, so far it’s been a surprisingly enjoyable read. The translation quality is decent, it’s definitely more of a slow burn story in terms of progression however it’s a steady progress. For me at least, this kept my attention and interest pretty much at a constant. Although some chapters might seem stuffy due to inclusion of explanations of the MC’s decisions/actions/causes and effects/results/contract deals and etc. I can tell you that it adds a sense of weight and world building that most fics of this style lack. Besides, the chapters are decently long, so stuff still happen. I love the MC and the rest of the side characters, everyone acts human as if I’m ‘watching in my head’ a tv series with 500+ episodes. Overall, it’s definitely a hidden gem.

I got to chapter 13 and dropped it, not because the grammar or flow were bad or anything, it just was a little too slow paced for me and I lost interest.

I am not going to give this a bad review per say but the MC is way to OP. going from no one to big hollywood director I less then 50 chapters. so not really my cup of tea. Still not a horrible read.

Premise is actually interesting but after like fist 20-30 chapter, translation nosedives. MC is a doormat to women and most women here are unhinged, bipolar and rude. Couldn't read past Ch 168, too much BS even if you ignore constant name changes.

Es una de las mejores historias sobre esta temática, justo la estoy leyendo en el sitio original y voy cerca del capítulo 1.200. Aprendes a ignorar cuando comienza a hablar sobre introducirse en el cine chino y todo respecto a ese país como en Ucrania, ambos temas se vuelven demasiado aburridos (más que todo el tema de china, aunque es entendible ya que el escritor original es de ahí) Al final vas entendiendo por que las personas más cercanas a el son AU y no estrellas de cine que solo tienen de interesante su físico. Lo malo es es que después del episodio 1.100 tiene un sistema antirrobo lo que hace que si no pagas o algo así no te muestra los capítulos completos así que te pierdes la trama
