Doubts

Inside the car, Xia Lihua settled into her seat, and Ding Feng, following suit, started the engine and drove away from the car park.

With a comforting tone, Ding Feng said, "Don't mind Yang Lingyun's words."

Leaning on the window, Xia Lihua seemed a bit disheartened. Despite this, her voice remained nonchalant as she replied, "I won't take his words to heart."

Ding Feng stole a quick glance at Xia Lihua. "Are you sure you're okay?"

Xia Lihua managed a small smile, though her eyes had a vulnerable sheen. "I'm all good. Don't worry."

Ding Feng nodded, "You know, I really care about you. It doesn't matter what happened in the past."

At the mention of the past, Xia Lihua licked her lips. She had something to ask to Ding Feng. "On my 16th birthday...the guy I slept with..."

Ding Feng's grip on the steering wheel tightened noticeably. "The videos were all deleted as per your grandfather's order."
