He dragged his feverish body and went outside to the backyard. Luan's eyesight was sharp even in the dark and the moon was bright. The garden was different from his memories, full of traces of someone living there. He looked around but couldn't sense the presence of another person.

Even his horse was not there, but judging by the tracks left behind, it seemed like she was in a hurry and even took Ash with her. But whenever she went, she left behind the bag full of demon's cores untouched. He sits down against the olea tree, waiting patiently for the current owner of the house to return.

He doesn't have much time left, and he still needs to entrust her with taking care of his loyal companion and make sure that she receives money to move back to the city. As Luan was half-dreaming, he heard the horse galloping. He lifted his head and looked in the direction of the sound, only to find out that his mount was coming from the Forest alone.
