Start of the Hunt (2)

Knowing who they are facing, DollBill04 and the other man yield the fight.

Blake managed to take them both down rather easily thanks to the fact that they were not even fighting back, the two of them didn't launch a single attack and just accepted their fate without saying anything.

It's natural that they yield the fight though since Blake has an EX-grade race.

Moreover, the two of them know that the EX-grade race is the Spectral Vampire. Seeing that Blake doesn't even use any of his Spectral Vampire abilities yet already emitted a deadly aura, the two of them surrendered.

[Player MoonDespoiler has killed Player DollBill04!]

[Player MoonDespoiler has killed Player MartialGenius33!]

[Obtained 51,000 Exp, 37 Gold, Advanced Black Robe, and Advanced Fighter Gloves!]

[Level up!]

[Commit PK successfully: 3/10]

After killing the two, a couple of prompts appeared while their bodies fade away.

"If a player dies, their real body would feel pain, their level will be decreased by 1, and there would be a penalty before they can play again, right?" Blake asked while straightening his body.

Salana nodded her head, "Yep, the drawbacks will get stronger the more times they died"

"Look at you Mr. Famous, those two people recognized you instantly. At this rate, you might even get your name inside the 100 Revered Paragons!" she added, elbowing Blake's side teasingly.

Blake was annoyed but he forced out a question, "What's the 100 Revered Paragons?"

"It's the ranking system of the game. The top 100 players would be ranked inside the 100 Revered Paragons, and since you got the EX-grade race there's no way that you're not going to be listed there" Salana explained, nodding her head proudly as if her name was the one going to be shown there.

Upon hearing this, Blake then rubbed his chin, "Will there be a rank for Privileged Players?"

"No, Privileged Players are a hidden anomaly inside the game. But since they also have a natural advantage over the other players, those Privileged Players would also be inside the 100 Revered Paragons" She replied.

But this should be natural, the Privileged Players basically have a cheat.

Out of the Privileged Players, Blake can tell that the one that has the Limited Cartographer and Appraisal VR Helmets is going to be strongest out of the Privileged Players. Both of their skills are too good.

Even if they don't try hard, it's hard for them to be weak.

Although that is the case, the only one that can rival him in terms of one-on-one power would probably be the Privileged Player that has the Limited Class VR Helmet, possessing multiple high-grade classes would definitely make an individual very strong.

Many players would be in trouble if they battled that Privileged Player.

But of course, Blake doesn't need to worry as on top of being a Privileged Player, he also has a cheat exclusive to him, and that is the fact that he can have as many races as he can and transform into each one of them at will.

Just as he was about to leave, Blake suddenly sensed something.

Since it's already night, the shadows of the grotto whisper to him of an attack coming from the back. Listening to the shadows, he rolled forward and dodged a spiky mace that slammed into the ground strongly.

"Oh, seems like the prey came voluntarily..." Blake uttered with a smile.

Earlier he has already told Issaiah to make a distraction, but that distraction was not meant for the party he was aiming for, but for the other NPCs around so that the place is empty and nobody would see their fights.

It seems they did a good job, seeing that nobody is around.

But due to that, the last two party members can find his location quickly like right now.

"A couple of days since the game has been launched, and there's already a killer on the loose. On top of that, it's the only player that triggered a world announcement to boast" the man with the mace, HeavenHand said with a tone of mockery.

Following that, his comrade also added, "Fight someone similar to your level, coward!"

Putting the huge great sword on his shoulder, the player called WhiteKnight lifted his chin arrogantly as the two of them saw Blake as nothing more than a coward that preyed on the weak despite having an EX-grade race.

Out of the party members, the ones he killed were the weaker ones.

[Lvl. 36 - HeavenHand]

[Lvl. 33 - WhiteKnight]

Looking at the two, Blake stands up and smiles in response as his battle intent is riled up.

Now, he has reached level 27 already, and he's confident in himself.

Knowing that he could beat Axel rather easily even though he was around the same level as the two players in front of him, Blake didn't back down and also prepared himself to fight the two simultaneously.

With the advantages he has, there should be nothing to worry about.

Grabbing the glowing pouch that contains the Advanced Fighter Gloves that he gained from the players he killed earlier, a pair of modern black gloves with steel plate covering the knuckles appeared on his hands.

[Advanced Fighter Gloves]

Level: 15

Grade: C

Item Quality: Good (90/100)

Stat Increase: +20 STR and +15 AGI

Description: With their sleek and stylish design, the Advanced Fighter Gloves are favored by agile melee fighters who rely on speed and precision. Made from durable materials, these gloves feature reinforced steel plates covering the knuckles, providing enhanced protection and striking power.

Slamming both of his fists together, Blake then went into his battle stance.

In response to this, HeavenHand and WhiteKnight went into a formation with WhiteKnight at the front and HeavenHand at the back. Under a light chant, both of their bodies glowed a little, activating a buff.

Not intending to let them buff up, Blake immediately went in for a strike.

Dashing at break-neck speed, garnering his agility that is quite fast for his current level, he blitzes through the distance between them before jumping when he reached close enough to WhiteKnight.

'Let's test the water, how strong are these players' Blake thought with a nod.

Blake didn't hesitate and swung his right arm with full force, trying to see whether these two players could back up their words earlier that sounded quite arrogant. But he could feel that this is going to be a real fight.

"Colossal Slam!" he utters before the muscles in his arms bulge.

Gritting his teeth and planting his feet sturdier, WhiteKnight raised his great sword to block.

"Firm Stand!"

Clang!!

Out of Blake's surprise, his punch enhanced by the Colossal Slam skill that could shatter the ground was blocked by the great sword, and the force from his punch got spread to the surrounding evenly.

[-250 HP]

Despite being blocked, WhiteKnight still received damage from that attack.

Following that attack, Blake wanted to pull away but his wrist was grabbed by WhiteKnight and held him in place. It was right then, HeavenHand moved from the side and attack Blake with his mace.

Blake didn't have any choice but to raise his other hand to block the attack.

Bam!

[-600 HP]

Under the force of the attack, Blake got flung to the side but the two doesn't intend to give him any time to breathe and recover and launched another attack simultaneously with immense precision.

Jumping high into the air, WhiteKnight raised his great sword above his head.

"Heavy Slash!"

Swinging the great sword with both hands, Blake was forced to block it by crossing his arms in front of him and using the Advanced Fighter Gloves to block the attack. But this incites a groan out of his mouth as it's quite heavy, and his back slammed against the ground.

[-1,300 HP]

"Arggh!" he grunted, feeling the force seeping into his bones.

Watching the fight from the side, Salana was quite interested in how this will go. Considering Blake is an absolute monster in battle as well as isolating fights into one-on-one, this will be a good learning experience for him.

Garnering the strength in his arms, he forcefully parried the great sword and tried to move.

But as he tried to do that, his eyes darted in surprise at the sight of a mace glowing like white lightning heading straight for him just before he was hit solidly in the face. It felt like his head is cracked open, and his body screeches through the rough rocky ground.

Bam!

[Critical Hit!]

[-3,100 HP]

Despite the paralyzing pain, Blake pushes himself up from the ground.

Crimson blood riddled down the side of his face from the side that was hit by the mace earlier, and he can taste iron in his mouth. "Keep your eyes open, you're fighting two people, not one. Don't put your focus solely on the one in front of you or this will happen"

"Okay... okay... this is good, this is interesting" Blake chuckled as his eyes glowed red.

Usually, his Noctural Blood Sight is enough for him to predict the opponent's movement and lets him either dodge or did a perfect counterattack. But now, he realized that he could only focus on one target.

Blake is still not used to fighting more than one person at the same time.

"I'm going to kill you for killing our comrades, and then I'll boast in the web forum that we defeat the infamous MoonDespoiler that has an EX-grade race" HeavenHand mocked, splattering blood to the ground with a light swing of his bloodied mace.

Listening to this, Blake gritted his teeth as his chest started to burn.

Standing up and facing the two players while panting heavily, Blake then force out a smile, 'If I'm not a temporary human right now, I would've destroyed those two. But no matter, this is good for me to experience'

Ignoring what HeavenHand said, Blake then loosens his body once again.

Turning his head to the side, he spat the blood residual in his mouth before he grins again, his eyes flashed with excitement, "Good, both of you are quite strong. If you're not strong, then killing you two wouldn't be that satisfying"

"Okay then, let's start round two, shall we? Let's fight for real this time..." he added.
