Chapter 16 – Spell Caster Weapons.

Yesterday I sold at the half price the upgraded version of the armor and weapons I made to everybody in the group. In the end both sides were satisfied. I got tons of monster materials and money and they got proper armor and weapons that they can use for the long time.

The first week of the official game release came to the end with new update made by the game company.

[Update.]

[The item shapes changing has been add.]

[Many players seems to encounter problem with items that can't be put on if the weaver possess horns and stuff. We are extremely sorry for it and add the automatic form shape change for the equipment's with those difficulties.]

[Simple put, if the user has horns or tail, the item will change its shape to fit the user. However, it will not work for the items that are meant to be worn on the horns and similar special body parts.]

(They finally did something about it. Before the equipment would only change size depending on weaver size, but there was nothing that could help you with if you had horns or tail, I had to made specially adjustments to the equipment by hand for each person needs.) – Though Forge, while reading the information on the game official website on this computer.

"Oh, they finally did something as well with the forest spiders poison."

(Probably now there will be more people coming to the Bronze Forest City since spiders problem was dealt with, meaning I will have more poetical clients now.)

(But wait, does that mean that spider poison that I have got weaker as well. If that is the case then it will became quite useless right now. This is bad for me since the quick arrow dipper will become less useful, unless some kind of replacement is found.)

"Is there anything else interesting?"

[The quest system has been finally added to the game!]

"Oh, they finally added the quest. Kitty told me during beta period there was so many bugs with it to the point where game develops had to took it down during beta period. Some people said that quest would never return to the game."

[Auction houses delay.]

[The game updated was planned to add the Auction house that players were looking forward to, but because of some person accidently deleted some important data (Thanks Joe). We are forced to delay the release of the auction house for the bit longer.]

(So, the auction house will be soon add to the game huh?)

(I should probably stock up the products in meantime since when it will be released, but there is no specific date when it will be released.)

(Kitty is quite good at doing businesses, I should ask her what to do.)

(Everything else are just minor changes, nothing very interesting, so let's just hope into a game.)

[Welcome back player Forge.]

Today my plan is to lock myself for the entire day in the smith, the reason is simple. I need to do experiments and I mean a lot. The reason for this is simple:

I need to make equipment for the spell caster, but I never made one, since I wanted to focus at the beginning with just armor and weapons.

Spell casters like [Priest] or [Mage] normally uses special items like spell books, wands, staffs or artifact. They are called spell caster weapons by the game designers.

Spell caster weapons unlike the other items like swords or bow, it mainly focus on supporting your spell type skill that be used in physical combat.

Books are type of weapon that stores magic inside of it and often possess 1 or more active skills inside of them. But the spells inside of the books often had down side, like for example they were only possessing a set level, like level 1/10 – the weakest version of the skill for example or the spells are charge type, meaning you will have to charge them up and when you ended up using one, until you charge up the skill with mana or wait the long cooldown, you can't use it.

Apparently even a non spellcaster type class like warrior can use the skills inside the spell books, but obviously there are down sides.

Spell type skills relaying on [Intelligent] stat, meaning if you have low [Intelligent] stat grow like me, the book will obviously become less effective for me.

There is also a fact that unlike the other spell caster weapons, the book doesn't provide that much of the buff to the spell type skills you use, Hype told me that.

Next thing is the wand.

Wand is quiet basic tool. Wands only uses the 1 hand, allowing you to carry something else in your other hand.

The general benefits that wands gives to the player are the buff to the skill spell type skill performance.

Next the staff.

The staff are pretty much two handed variant of the wand, they are heavier than wand and pretty much often result in spell caster only using it. Pretty much two handed weapon for spell casters.

The staff provide way greater benefits than the wand, making your spell type skills stronger.

The last weapon that spell caster uses are artifact.

Unlike the other 3 items, they don't have a set form. Meaning they could be a lot of things like a lamp or a crystal ball.

The artifact are the mix between all other spell caster weapons combined. The weapon can come up with the skill and/or can increases spell type skill performance.

"But there is obviously a problem, I never made any of those in the first place."

(Good thing I have [Blacksmith Knowledge]. It provides me with the basics of how to create a basic spell caster items.)

"Let's get started."

[To create spell caster weapon, you need a specific materials. Each materials has their own mana affinity value, element affinity value and attribute affinity value as well as the vessel size.]

[The mana affinity value shows how well the materials can work with mana (MP). The higher the mana affinity value then better.]

[Element affinity value show how well the materials works with specific element. For example, if the materials has high fire attribute affinity value, then creating item out of that materials may give special fire attribute properties to the item or power them up!]

[Attribute affinity value shows the attributes of the item. The attributes are something like a nature on its own and it's divided into multiple types: Holy, Necrotic, Demonic, Nature, Arcane, Wild and so on.]

[Advance Blacksmith] skill.

[Eye Of The Blacksmith]

[Skill Level 2/4] [Active]

[Using this skill allows you to peek into an item hidden details that can't be seen by the normal person.]

[At the skill level 1 – You are able to see item mana affinity value.]

[At the skill level 2 – You are able to see item element value.]

[At the skill level 3 – You are able to see item attribute value.]

[At the skill level 3 – You are able to see item hidden aspects.]

[Basic Wood]

[Mana Affinity Value: 5]

[Copper Ingot]

[Mana Affinity Value: 3]

"Interesting. The copper is higher rank item than wood, but it has lower mana affinity value."

"The hide of the horned rabbit has 0 but it's horn has 3?"

"Let's start simple first and just use the basic wood."

[The spell caster weapons are made combining specific things together:

-The body – The item body that contains mana, element and aspect affinity values.

-The mana carving – the special type carving that was done during the item creation process, using mana.]

"The most important part is the mana carvings. They are not done on the item surface but on the item mana path. Each spell caster weapon possess different mana carving methods." – said Forge while reading the information from his skill.

"To do mana carving you require special tool called mana guider."

[Mana Guider]

(It kind of look likes pen, expect that egg shaped thing attached to back with the gem sticking out.)

"…Press and hold the button on the side to inject the mana into a tool to activate it, this thing, right?"

After Forge put his finger on the button, the tip of the pen appeared. The tip itself had appearance of the transparent glowing blue liquid.

(Apparently this weird stuff is my mana in the special form. Looks quite weird, but there doesn't seem to be problem with it when I'm shaking it with my hand or trying to touch it.)

"Okay, I bought the beginner staff from the shop and it's just a stick with bend part on the top. I made the wooden stuff, almost identical looking to the beginner staff."

(Use the tool exactly as shown in the picture… So, I just put it anywhere, but I can't touch it or can't be too far from it.)

Forge put the pen like object near the bottom part of the staff, but make sure that the pen didn't touch or was too close the stuff. The liquid mana from pen like object beginned being injected into a wood that was in front of it the moment forge pressed the button.

Forge put the pen object right at the bottom of the staff and then beginned moving it at steady rate upwards until it arrived at the top, before then deactivating the device and putting his hand away.

[Simple Wooden Spell Caster Staff]

[A simple staff that helps spell casters handle spells.]

[Attack Power: 2-4]

[Spells damage dealt increase: 5%]

[Item Rank: 2]

"…...What?"

(No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Just wait a bloody second.)

(First try? I was expecting this to fail since I never done something like this and this is clearly full fantasy.)

(Maybe I just got lucky.)

[Simple Wooden Spell Caster Staff]

[Simple Spell Caster Book]

[Simple Wooden Spell Caster Wand]

[Simple Wooden Spell Caster Praying Cross]

"I guess not!"

(Is it really that bloody easy?)

"No. Calm down. I only created something that even a noob like me could easily create and it's quite weak as well."

"[Blacksmith Knowledge]."

Forge beginned looking through all the information related to spell caster weapons inside the skill information book.

"Found something!"

[There are multiple times of pattern you can carve into weapon mana system. Ranging from element based types to attribute based types.]

[The limit of how many and how powerful carvings you can add to the weapons, depends on the item mana affinity value, element affinity value and aspect affinity value.]

[There are also multiple ranks of the same of carving, granting the higher rank carvings also gives the better results.]

[And there are also different type of carvings that belongs to the same element, affinity or mana type.]

"Hm…. There are water type, earth type, demonic type and other types of carvings. The one I did was the basic one called mana type – G."

Each carvings have types ranks from G, F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS and EX."

"The type of carving you put will influence the item performance in different ways and can react to the specific elements and aspects the item possess."

(Hm…. So, you need to inspect the materials, found the right aspects and elements as well as other stuff.)

"There is also a problem."

[To create higher grade patterns, you need stronger and better version of the [Mana Guider(s).]

"The mana guider that I have right now can make ranks G patterns only. There is manual how to create your own [Mana Guider], but I need higher grade mana stones to make a better versions."

"Sometimes monster randomly dropped this stuff. I have some, but they are quite weak and I don't know if they can be used."

(Hm? Wait a second. To create higher grade spell caster weapon, I need higher grade tool for crafting, right?)

(So does that mean, if I have higher rank crafting tools that I normally use during crafting, will it too affect my item performance?)

"I really want to have my own smith as soon as possible even more now."
