Goblin Sorcerer

Arsen arrived at the Enchanted Grove Forest, his heart pounding with anticipation as he set out to uncover the truth about the strange happenings that had been reported. It didn't take long for him to realize that the animals in the forest were not missing, but something was definitely off. They were acting strange, almost like they had gone mad.

As he made his way deeper into the woods, Arsen witnessed the bizarre behavior of the creatures first-hand. They seemed to be attacking everything in their path, destroying anything they came across and attacking animals of their own race with a viciousness that was unnerving.

Arsen couldn't help but wonder what could be causing such erratic behavior. Was it some sort of disease, or was something more sinister at work? He knew he needed to be careful if he hoped to get to the bottom of the mystery.

Arsen discovered the difference between aggressive animals and those that were running for their lives. The aggressive monsters had gleaming yellow eyes and masculine bodies that appeared to be fueled by drugs.

Arsen had a soft spot for animals and was tempted to intervene, but he stayed put and observed from a distance. With 12 ferocious creatures in sight, he doubted he could handle them alone. Furthermore, his mission was to investigate the peculiar occurrence affecting these beasts, and he couldn't risk being caught.

It was sad to say, all the harmless animals brutally died, and the scent of iron spread throughout the area as the animals' blood bathed to the ground. Arsen could only close his eyes as he was hearing the flesh getting ripped.

Swoosh!

From his perch atop a tree, Arsen wasted no time in pursuing the animals. As an assassin, he moved swiftly and silently, careful not to draw their attention. The creatures had sharp senses, and he couldn't risk being detected.

-

More than ten minutes had elapsed since Arsen took his position atop the tree, from where he had a clear view of a small camp located thirty meters away. The camp was modestly fenced with wooden barriers. Suddenly, Arsen's eyes widened as he saw a creature emerge from the wooden door. The creature was bald, with yellow eyes and skin, standing at around three meters in height. It wore a black robe and a necklace with a violet gem pendant.

Goblin? Arsen couldn't help but mutter the word as he took in the creature's appearance. The yellow-skinned, bald creature before him was unmistakably a goblin. He counted more than twenty of them in the camp, each wearing brown, ragged shorts and armed with various weapons, including knives, daggers, bows, and spears.

The Goblin with a muscular build and dressed in a black robe appeared to be their leader, as the others deferentially stepped aside to let him pass

The aggressive animals from earlier were now sitting calmly on the dried surface, resembling well-trained dogs, as the Goblin leader approached. All the goblins had gathered in a specific location and formed a circle around the leader.

"What are they trying to do?" This question pierced his mind as he observed the goblins closely. Their behavior was clearly suggestive of some kind of scheme, but it was still too early to take any action. For now, all he knew was that the goblins were the main cause of the animals' strange behavior. The best course of action, he decided, was to continue watching and gathering more information before making a move.

Although he could have simply returned to the Mayor's hall and reported that the goblins were responsible for the incident, Arsen knew he still had unfinished business. His main objective right now was to find the missing Alchemist, who had disappeared while gathering materials for an experiment in this very forest. According to Mayor Whitlock, this case might be related to the strange animal behavior that Arsen had been investigating. As an assassin, Arsen was determined to see this mission through to the end and uncover the truth behind the mystery.

Meanwhile, the Goblin leader raised his wooden staff into the air and began murmuring words that only the other goblins could understand. As he spoke, a magical circle appeared on the ground, emanating a dark violet glow that filled the entire camp. The power emanating from the circle was palpable, sending shivers down the spines of everyone who stood nearby. Just when Arsen thought the spectacle was over, the Goblin leader pointed his finger towards the door and issued an order to three of his underlings, who immediately scurried off to carry out his bidding.

Without hesitation, three goblins sprang into action, scurrying off to a nearby area. Moments later, they returned, dragging with them a woman with brown hair, piercing blue eyes, and a face that looked innocent and vulnerable. She wore a pristine white lab coat over a pair of tight-fitting blue pants that hugged her thick thighs and highlighted her feminine curves.

The woman was bound by a thick rope that dug painfully into her skin. Her captors dragged her roughly to the magic circle, flinging her onto the ground with a forceful toss. She landed face-first on the surface, her skin scraping against the rough stones. The rope tightened further around her wrists and ankles, causing her to whimper in pain.

Ding!

[Save the Alchemist from the Goblin Sorcerer!]

-The Goblin Sorcerer was performing a dark ritual, using human sacrifices to summon evil monsters that threatened to destroy the forest and nearby regions.

Reward(s): Unknown.

Thanks to the information provided by the system, Arsen finally understood the truth about what was happening in the forest. At this point, he was more concerned about the urgent need to stop the Goblin Sorcerer and his minions, rather than the rewards of saving the Alchemist. With 12 aggressive monsters, 20 goblins, and 1 powerful Goblin Sorcerer as the mastermind behind the incident, he knew that he faced a daunting task ahead of him.

Well, it came to his mind that he should kill the aggressive animals before they could reach this came as they became one of his problems right now. Of course, he knew they were the reason why he reached this place.

The female alchemist bore multiple wounds on her body, and her once-pristine lab coat was now stained with blood. Suddenly, a groan of agony escaped her lips as the dark violet glow enveloped her body. It appeared as though the glow was searing her skin, for smoke was seen rising from the affected areas.

Seeing the occurrence Arsen was well informed that he must make his move at this point. In his mind, this skin was not only made to burn a person's body, it has another purpose for sure. He tightly gripped his dagger. "It can't be helped. I should save this woman right now until I have a chance."

Swoosh!

Arsen carefully went to their location without being noticed. As soon as he arrived at the area, the problem became more intense.

Help!

Please someone help me!

Despite her pain, the Alchemist attempted to cry out for help. Her eyes trembled as she watched the Goblin poised to thrust its spear.

"Fuck." Arsen cursed.

As an Assassin, his main plan was to eliminate the threat which was the Goblin Sorcerer. But it seemed like this idea was not possible.

Dash!

Arsen bit the bottom of his lips while dashing closer to the Goblin's camp.

Goblin Sorcerer level 10 (High Tier ordinary)

HP: 8,000

Goblin level 6 (Mid Tier Ordinary)

HP: 4,000

Corrupted Animal (Ordinary)

HP: 5,000

Although no one questioned why the Corrupted Animal had a higher HP than the Goblins, it was evident that the animal possessed greater defensive capabilities. In contrast, the Goblins were known for their intelligence in creating traps for their prey, as well as their agility

The magic circle had a radius of ten meters, with only the Alchemist standing inside. Despite being around 12 meters away from the monsters, Arsen drew their aggro as they immediately pointed their weapons at him.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

As the Goblins armed with bows fired a barrage of arrows, Arsen utilized Blink and disappeared, leaving only his afterimage behind. The arrows missed their target and struck the afterimage instead.

Stab!

Arsen stabbed the monster three times, leaving holes in its body, before rushing to the woman and cutting the ropes that bound her. ''Are you alright?'' he asked, as he looked at the angry monsters rapidly approaching. "Can you walk? We need to leave this place."

The Alchemist nodded in agreement, despite the pain wracking her body. She felt compelled to do something to ease the burden on this man.

First things first, they stepped out of the magic circle, causing the gleaming light to dissipate. At that moment, the Sorcerer Goblin went mad, furious that someone had interrupted the ritual.

Goblins and Corrupted Animals had already surrounded him, leaving him no choice. 'I will make a path for you. Use that chance to escape, understood?' he said in a serious tone, his gaze fixed on the Sorcerer Goblin.

"Thank you," Alchemist responded in a polite tone, knowing if she managed to escape from these monsters, this guy could also have a chance to escape without thinking about her. It was common sense since she can't fight with him even though she stayed here. At the same time, she was simply limiting this guy's movement.

Chain Lightning!

Suddenly, a crackling of electricity reached his ears, and the ring on his finger began to gleam.

"Now!"

Bang!

Arsen unleashed Chain Lightning at the monster that was rapidly pursuing them. The skill caused a focused explosion, stunning some of them in place and damaging their health.

"How dare you stop the ritual, mere human! You should die!"

Eh?
