Chapter Forty-seven

~Blair's POV~

The semester began days ago and Arian and I have been struggling to get settled in. It was one hell of an argument getting Khalif to allow us to stay on campus. He kept going on and on about how he wouldn't be able to keep an eye on us over there and how we could get into one problem or the other with the other students and then there was the language barrier, but Arian and I knew none of that was the cause of his reluctance. He still blames himself for what happened back at home, but we had no intention of letting that hold us back. It was one hell of a task but we were finally able to convince him to let us go...well, not exactly convinced. Arian threatened to run away and while I knew she couldn't, her brother believed she was dead serious when she ran up the stairs and into her room crying and shoving her things into her leather box, while going on and on about how no one likes her and how she feels all alone and restricted.
