Ye Chen's visit

From Master Xiao's perspective:

It's already the second week since we moved to this new place, and everything is going wonderfully. Time flies by, especially during the evenings and nights. I can't help but be amused by the fact that Mei is stronger in cultivation than me, yet she walks around tired and fatigued each day. She even has dark circles under her eyes. My body is just perfect, ahaha! But I need to do something about it. I've tried talking to her, but she just brushed it off, saying everything is fine.

While pondering what to do, I observed the fish in the pond that I had been feeding. Hu Mei brought me some dumplings and herbal drink.

"Master, here are some dumplings with herbal drink" she said.

"Where is Mei?" I asked.

"She said she's not feeling very well and went to take a nap."

"I see. Thank you. Please tell Lin Qing to give everyone a break today and cancel the training. Let everyone have a day of rest."

"Yes, Master."

As I ate the dumplings and watched the fish, I thought about giving Mei some rest and also testing what happens if I don't dump Yang and get Yin within 24 hours. In theory, nothing serious should occur, but I want to be sure. The system is usually benevolent, but it does have annoying drawbacks. I'd love to see the goddess hiccuping all day, гnconsciously imagining this scene on my face, a smile crept out.

While contemplating, I noticed Ye Chen's shuttle approaching. Oh, why is he here again? We are far away from the center of activity, and we don't have anything that should interest him. I guess I'll have to listen to him boasting about his master and how he's underestimated once more. He always makes a big fuss about it.

From the perspective of Shu Ying, the former goddess:

Ugh, my days are so dull as fuck— eat, sleep, and shit. Ugh, I want to grow up already! How long can this go on? And to top it off, it's not even my biological mother feeding me, but some random cultivators WTF. Ugh, why do I hiccup all day long? It must be that idiot's fault. I don't know why, but I'm just sure of it!

Xia Tao:

While I was watching the protagonist fly here, I was thinking, Hmm, I should really decipher the riddle of that vase. According to how he was raging when he was in the bureaucrat's basement, it contains a pretty important secret.

I've spent several days just on this vase, trying different activation patterns, but it remains unyielding. Twice, I nearly shattered it in frustration. I need to change my approach. Perhaps the local equivalent of a library might hold information about such riddles. It looks like something common, but I should handle this carefully. What if it's an extremely rare and valuable item? I'll have to study it discreetly, without drawing any attention to myself.

Oh well, it seems like he's been coming here quite often lately. I wonder if he has nothing better to do.

"Ahaha, Brother Tao, I've come to visit you again! How are you? How's your tree growing?" He said, jumping out of the shuttle.

"I should definitely learn Summer Breeze Cloud, damn it, I'm the only one flying on a shuttle while everyone else is on clouds" he said, slumping into a chair next to me.

"Now, now, Brother Chen, don't say that. We also fly on shuttle, and it's fine" I said, sipping my drink. "What brings you here this time?"

"I want to go to the desert. Wanna to accompany me?" he asked.

"Why? As far as I know, there's nothing there except sand and the animals that live there. Plus, as we've learned, it's not very safe during this time of year due to the migration of the beasts. It's quite risky to venture into the relatively safe zone now."

"Don't worry, as long as I'm around, nothing will happen. Besides, if we don't go too far, we'll encounter only Purification of Essence(2 mj lvl) level beasts at worst, even during the migration."

"What do you want to get there?" I asked curiously.

"I need to collect around 40 cores of Strengthening of Foundation level Spirit Beasts. And if I'm lucky, the Sand Dawn Flower" he replied.

"And why is that?"

"I want to exchange the cores for cloud-flying technique, and the flower, I want to give it to Alara Leila. She needs it to successfully step into the Cultivation of Inner Qi level. If all goes well, she might become one of my future wives."

"Strange name, and I already feel sorry for her if you're the one courting her" I teased him.

"Wait, what do you mean, dude? You don't understand anything! I'm the best choice for her in this sect!" He exploded with indignation and started ranting.

"Maybe you are, but rumors are spreading, courtesy of Xu Yan and her Mother, that you've been more interested in boys lately. I've started to worry about why you've been coming to me so often."

I made a slightly scared face for a split second, and then burst into laughter. Ahahaha!

Ye Chen face darkened and twisted slightly.

"It's all just rumors, don't listen to them!" he said sharply.

"Ahahaha, come on, Brother Chen, why so serious? Ahahaha!"

"As for the name, yes, it's strange as far as i know she is not from our continent but ended up here by chance. She decided to study with us. You should see her, though, wait, better don't. There are already plenty of beautiful girls you have here. this one is mine"

While we were sitting and chatting, the protagonist's face lit up with a mischievous expression.

"Hey, don't you want to engage in some kinky activities with your maids here? Is that why you don't want to go anywhere?" His face brightened with the revelation, but then that jerk continued, "Listen, you're still too young to be thinking about that. Grow up first, and then I'll teach you everything you need to know! Ahahaha!"

"What do you know!" I grumbled. fuck my 12 years old apearence!

As I pondered whether I should join him on his trip, there were reasons for and against it:

If I go with him, there's a high chance that something strange might happen, which could lead to delays or even danger.

If I delay and don't exchange my Yang for Yin, there will be issues with my body, and I haven't yet assessed the severity of those problems.

On the other hand, we might find something interesting in this desert, and since the protagonist is drawn to it, there must be something fascinating there.

In the end, I said that I needed to think about it until tomorrow. I decided to leave Mei alone for today and see what happens tomorrow before making a decision.
