The Harbinger of Chaos

I remember as I watched The Scarlet Witch scream in pain and agony. I remember how I remembered how the witch took everything from me. Took my family, my happiness... and yet, I felt pity.

"Stop... LIA, STOP!"

Lia looked at me, and as she stopped, the Scarlet Witch's screaming stopped.

"Stop it, stop it Lia."

Lia looked at me and the Scarlet Witch laughed.

"What are you doing?"

Lia: Wanda, you have to understand-

"Understand what?"

Lia: We can't let her live. She-

"Why? Why not?"

Lia: She's too dangerous to be kept alive.

The Scarlet Witch laughed even harder.

Lia: Wanda, I've seen what she could do... you have no idea what she's capable of. If we let her go today, think of what she can do. She can travel the multiverse Wanda, she can find someone stronger than you! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?

Lia stopped explaining, but one question stuck with me.

"What were you doing in my head? How did you come here?"

Lia stopped and looked confused.

Lia: I'm sorry?

"You said you were from another Earth... how'd you get here?"

I heard the Scarlet Witch laugh, and I turned to her, she was enjoying this. I turned back to Lia.

"What are you hiding from me Lia?"

Scarlet Witch: Oh quite a lot actually, Wanda. A lot.

I walked to the Scarlet Witch.

"What is she hiding? TELL ME!"

The Scarlet Witch laughed.

Scarlet Witch: My dear Wanda...

"Who is she"

Lia: Wanda, I-

"WHO IS SHE?"

The Scarlet Witch laughed, and looked at my hand.

Scarlet Witch: You know exactly who she is.

I looked at my hand, to find the rune and at the centre, a figure I recognized. I looked at the Scarlet Witch and it was then that I noticed, the rune and her crown... it had the same shape. I slowly turned to Lia, frightened.

"A while ago... in the mirror... you made me do a spell.."

Lia: Yes I-

"That was Chaos Magic wasn't it?"

Lia didn't answer. I chuckled as I figured it out.

"She's you isn't she? She's your variant?"

Lia sighed, and the Scarlet Witch laughed.

Scarlet Witch: Oh, she's smarter than I thought.

I turned to the Scarlet Witch.

"What are you doing here? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?"

The Scarlet Witch laughed even more.

"What's so funny?"

Scarlet Witch: It shouldn't be me you're asking. It should be her.

"She's here to protect me. Protect me from you."

Scarlet Witch: Is she really, Wanda? Tell me Wanda, what was she doing in your head?

I couldn't talk. I knew that I shouldn't have listened to her but, I needed to know.

Scarlet Witch: There's a spell in the Darkhold... Dreamwalking.

Lia: Stop it.

Scarlet Witch: While dreamwalking, you can take over the body of another being in the multiverse.

Lia: Wanda, stop.

Scarlet Witch: Lia here tried dreamwalking into this universe, but as it may seem, she wasn't succe-

Lia: I SAID STOP WANDA!

Lia conjured magic and continued torturing the Scarlet Witch.

Lia: I'm sending you back where you came from... and I'm gonna end this... once and for al-

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WANDA?"

Lia turned to me.

Lia: What?

"Wanda... you called her Wanda. Why Wanda?"

Lia didn't answer me, but she didn't have to. The Chaos Magic, the runes, her name...

"You're name isn't Lia isn't it?"

Lia: Wanda I-

"TELL ME WHO YOU ARE!"

Lia stopped for a while, before she revealed herself.

Lia: Wanda. Wanda Maximoff.

She was me.

My variant.

I turned to the Scarlet Witch.

"And you... you're me aren't you?"

The Scarlet Witch smiled.

Scarlet Witch: That's a bingo! OOOO! Sorry.

Suddenly, the Scarlet Witch's hands were freed. She bounded me and Lia with Chaos Magic and lifted us both up.

Scarlet Witch: You should have killed me when you had the chance.

"What do you want with me?"

Scarlet Witch: With you? Nothing. From you? Everything.

The Scarlet Witch bounded Lia's hands behind her back, preventing her form casting any spells at her, and she started draining my powers.

I screamed in pain as I felt the Chaos Magic flow out of me. I screamed as I cried and begged someone to help me when suddenly, something beside me started to glow purple.

I looked at my left to find what was glowing purple... Dark Magic. Dark Magic surrounded a witch's hands... Lia's hands.

Lia exploded with Dark Magic, breaking the spell that bounded us both, and threw the Scarlet Witch back. The Scarlet Witch got up and as she saw Lia, face filled her face.

Scarlet Witch: No.

Lia: I told you to PISS OFF!

Lia casted a spell at the Scarlet Witch and it started to drain her life force away. The Scarlet Witch screamed in pain and I watched as my variant was slowly killing another one of my variants... and I couldn't take it. I didn't want this. I wanted it all to-

"STOP!"

I ran to Lia and punched her. As I punched her, Chaos Magic emitted from my fists and hit her. Shards of glass broke off Lia.

I watched as Lia picked herself up, then noticed... the shards of glass on the floor. Suddenly, a small crack appeared in front of us. The crack grew and grew until suddenly, it ripped a hole in reality, a vacuum that started to suck everything.

The Scarlet Witch grabbed on to something and I started to get sucked in. Lia grabbed me before I got sucked in and she held on to me. The Scarlet Witch laughed.

Lia: HELP US!

The Scarlet Witch conjured magic.

Scarlet Witch: Lia Lia Lia, you read the Darkhold... your magic. A hybrid of Chaos and Dark Magic-

Lia: SHUT UP AND HELP US... CLOSE THE RIFT! HELP HER!

Lia nodded her head at me. I looked at the Scarlet Witch, hoping she had even the smallest decency in her.

But I was proven wrong.

Scarlet Witch: I'm sorry Wanda, but you are of no use to me anymore.

The Scarlet Witch threw a ball of Chaos Magic and it hit Lia in the face, knocking her out, and letting me go.

As I got sucked in, the Scarlet Witch closed the rift, and I feel into an endless hole... alone.
