Cloak and dagger

Roland's view landed on a well-lit, simple and clean reception-looking room. There was a small table and some chairs in the center of the room.

There weren't any fancy decorations or furniture.

Roland cautiously walked into the room, constantly surveying the area. He arrived in front of reception desks. There was no one in sight.

'That looks inviting.' Roland thought when he looked at the dark doorway behind the desk.

There was no other door or path Roland could see so he thought that was the way to the prison.

Roland walked into the dark, his vision went pitch black for a second before his eyes adjusted to the contrast.

'These people really love their hallways.' He thought when he looked at the narrow hallway. The walls resembled that of the prison he'd seen before, so this somewhat confirmed it for him.

The hallway was narrow and long, torches were placed on the walls, and lit up the area. There was an open door on the wall to the right.

Roland opened the door and looked inside. The room was hug and resembled a warehouse, equipments and clothes were kept in huge metal shelfs.

'How problematic is this monster attack that they have to send out every guard in this place. I pray that they succeed.' Roland stepped forward.

He stepped inside and looked around, he saw multiple robes that the guards wore on the side. Roland saw that there was a lot of robes that were embroided in different colors.

'Do the colors have a different meanings? Is there a certain heirarchy with the guards? If so which color should I choose? ' Roland wondered.

Now that he thought about it, it was indeed the case. All the different guards he had seen had the same black robe but was embroided in different colours.

'Let's go with yellow!' This was the color, the guard who came to deliver his food always wore.

Roland quickly found his size and wore it.

He began to walk around the aisle looking for things he may take. Most of the things here looked like they've been dug up out of the ground.

Most of the things here, Roland couldn't recognize and thus wasn't intrested in him.

'They all looked like garbage anyways.' Roland looked at the dusty swords, broken shields and weird looking apparatus.

As he was walking up and down, Roland saw a purple rock that was the size of a family pot sitting on a shelf. The rock was giving him a familiar feeling. He placed his hand on the rock and sure enough...

[Pure Fabric substance was found. Do you want to absorb and boot up the chaos system?]

[Absorbing Pure Fabric Substance, system booting process at 99.99%]

The prompt rang and Roland accepted. The rock glowed with a dark blue color and simmered for a while before it disintegrated into black sand.

Lying in the ashes of the rock was what looked like an animals canine tooth. Roland picked it up and noticed that it was a dagger. The dagger was thirty centimetres in length and ten centimetres in width.

"Why am I getting a weird feeling from this?" Roland muttured under his breath. When he looked at the dagger, he felt like it was about to jump and press down on his neck.

The dagger curved towards the front with two sharp points, while the back side had multiple teeth like blades. The hilt of the blade was dark, slim and long.

The dagger was white, accompanied by a soft red colour and finally outlined by a weak black color. The colors looked washed out.

The dagger looked curved and not really sharp so it didn't look dangerous.

'Aesthetically it looks ok, but can it cut?' Roland took the unassuming dagger and placed it on his forefinger and gentle applied pressured.

The dagger instantly bypassed Roland's skin and landed on his bone, drawing a lot of blood in the process.

"!!!"

Roland was surprised by this, not only did it happen to fast but he didn't feel any pain from it.

'What type of dagger is this? It's disgusting! I like it!' Roland immediately praised the daggers abilities, he was confounded by this magical stuff.

He remembered his wound and quickly tore a robe and bandaged his wound. 'It's gonna heal in a bit though'

"I'm taking this dagger with me." Roland giggled to himself. He took the remaining robe and wrapped it around his hip before creating a place to hide the dagger. The dagger was well hidden and easily accessible in his back area right above his buttocks.

'What else can I take. Maybe I should just search for this fabric substance and I'll get cool stuff like this.' Roland was so excited that he forgot he was in enemy territory.

Roland closed his eyes and sure enough, there was multiple red objects and dots that appeared in his 'vision'. Roland went to the nearest one but quickly stopped...

"Ahh~"

Roland suddenly heard an alluring moan, entering his eyes. He looked around and saw a door at the back of the room. Curious, Roland moved closer to have a peak.

Lying On a table and facing up, was a woman with her legs spread apart, in between her legs was a man with his face eating the forbidden fruit and condemning humanity.

"Ahhh~" the woman's seductive moans echoed in the room.

'Cunnilingus sh... wait what am I doing? I must stay focused! I must stay focused.' Roland had an internal conflict.

Just as he was looking at the 'fun' in the room, something else caught his attention.

Located just besides the couple was a familiar looking set of keys. These were the keys the guards used to open the doors.

Roland immediately dispelled his taboo thoughts.

'How do I get them' Roland started to plot. The keys were just besides the man's face.

Roland looked around and saw a long spear. He came back with it and slowly entered the door.

He approached from behind the couple and noticed the woman had her eyes closed but he didn't know much about the man.

'When he's done there, he's gonna stand up and do the 'main campaign' and when that happens it will be twice as hard to grab them. So it has to be now.' Roland turned the spear around as he snuck towards the couple.

"I'm close keep going~" the woman said as she begun to pant and increased her voice.

'It has to be now, if they see me I'll use the dagger.' Roland quickened his stride and used the wooden part of the spear and carefully passed it besides the man's face.

The spear wasn't slow and steady but the complete opposite, the spear passed the man's face and passed the keys and landed on something soft.

"Ahhh~"

'Shit!' Roland quickly pulled back the spear and used it to pick up the keys. He lifted up the spear while he quickly ran backwards. The keys didn't make much noise and slid down the spear before landed in Roland's hands.

At this time Roland had made it to the door.

*thud*

*sigh*

Roland had successfully made it out. His heart was pounding and his smile was wide. He lost his ahem... He got the keys.

Roland left the warehouse-looking room and arrived back in the narrow hallway.

He made his way down the hallway and arrived in front of a four way paths, he was confused for a sec when he heard screaming coming from the right side.

'Since the guards aren't here, it has to be the prisoners screaming right?' Roland wasn't sure but he took the path none the less.

He quickly arrived in front an iron door.

'There's no guards I guess.' He opened the door and saw another iron door and a flight of stairs, just besides him.

The screaming was coming from the door in front of him. Roland looked down and saw another door on the next level.

'I was on the third floor and later moved to the forth.' Roland recalled some information as he ran down and arrived on the forth door, he pushed it opened.

'This should be it right?' Roland speculated as he looked down the hallway.

In truth they all looked the same so he couldn't tell, if it was right. Roland looked at the numbers on the doors and ran down the corridor,'I was somewhere around three hundred and ninety'.

The floor design was all over the place and resembled a labrith, with four way paths joining together and some hallways leading to dead ends.

Roland knew there wasn't any guards so he ran along the doors looking at the numbers. He paid close attention to the path and realised that there was a pattern.

_Two minutes later_

Roland stopped and looked towards the door with number three hundred and nintey. He tried to open the door but it was locked, he used the key to open it.

'Damn it, wrong room.' Roland opened the door and realised that he got the wrong room.

In the room Roland saw a silhouette of a woman.

"Your not the guard who are you." The woman turned around and looked at Roland with scrutiny.

Roland didn't want to risk it or wast his time so he didn't answer the woman and opted to close the door but just then he saw the woman's face.

His eye's widen in surprise as a few things came together in his mind and formed a cohesive thought.

"It's you!" Roland muttured under his breath.
