His choice

Waking up with a banging headache, Lisa groans and rose from the bed. Her body aching her. She gazes around and figured out that she was in her room.

Lisa couldn't recall how she got to this place, and all she could recall was walking down to her house drunk. However, she felt her cunt throbbing.

Tired, she flung herself from the bed, yawns, and stride towards the bathroom to wash up, feeling all dizzy and feeble.

She felt nausea and threw up.

When she was done, she dragged her weak body to the kitchen, where she could prepare hang-over soup.

She could still recall the words Lucy and Adrian told her last night, she knew herself that she wouldn't forget him rushing.

"Whatever" she spewed while making her hang-over soup, but her heart burns with anger. She wished she had drowned Lucy and castrated Adrian.

Lisa got more vexed when the doorbell rang. She wasn't expecting anyone, as she decided to be an island. That's because the weary lady hadn't gotten over the heartbreak.

Lisa hesitated for a while and sluggish storms to the door, got it opened and was about to ask who the anonymous guest was.

Surprised, she was greeted by a bouquet of flowers. These flowers covered the face of her visitor. Surprised, she had to step out of her house and gaze at the person holding these flowers.

Lisa used her hand to haul the flowers to one side, rudely, intending to see the guest. The guest exchanged greetings with Lisa. Though, Lisa was puzzled at her.

Furthermore, she was trying to pull out a letter from the flowers while Lisa watched.

This guest clears her throat and kept a bright smile at Lisa, who didn't look like she cared.

Her head ached and the sight of this lady was perturbing. Curiosity wore her face.

Her presumption was that Adrian must have sent someone to apologize on his behalf. Oddly, she would accept his offer.

"Miss Lisa, this is an invitation to work at our office" the guest announces with a broad smile. She was holding herself from not sneezing. The pollen had gotten stuck in her nose.

Lisa grimace, was this a joke, or was she still dreaming? If she could recall, all her applications to various companies had been turned down, including that hotel.

However, someone just showed up to offer her a job. It was awkward for her as she had to ask if this lady didn't lose her way.

"Office? What office could that be?" Lisa questions anxiously while scrutinizing the flowers.

This guest dumps it on Lisa, not liking the vibe this snobby lady was having.

Lisa grabs hold of the flowers as the stranger explains to her which office she would be working at.

The guest was able to take the lost letter in the flowers, showed it to Lisa, who collected the letter.

"King's hotel?" She exclaims with a sudden smile. The guest nodded, happy that at least this lady was showing enthusiasm for the job.

"We hope to see you soon" she added up, giving a courtesy bow and left. Lisa began to jump up, overwhelmed that a part of her dream had come true.

She had promised herself, once she got a job at that hotel, she would lie low in her hunting games over ghosts. It was a dream come true to be working at that place.

"Yes! Yes!" Lisa yells, running back inside with the bouquet of flowers. At last, something to keep her away from home, and the thought of Adrian had come.

Just when she was suffering from a heartbreak, something reviving showed up. To hell with Adrian. She wasn't going to break down and promised to be the strongest he ever knew.

However, who was she going to share such good news with? Lisa tried shaking off depression.

She ditched the flowers on the dinning table, scanned through the letter, and exhaled softly.

She was meant to resume immediately, with no interview. This was a miracle, and she was thrilled to know who the CEO could be.

AT THE MANSION

"What?" Damian wailed, falling to his knees and grumbling. The fact that Wales would be acting as Tyler wasn't nice.

They were in Tyler's room and Wales was dressing up for the office.

"You advice I should adapt, it's just temporarily" Wales points out, selecting an outfit to wear from Tyler's closet.

"Shit! I was just joking, Last night, you were meant to take her soul! What happened? I couldn't keep track of you…"

"Hey kid, stop poknosing into my business, go back to the underworld and cover up for me" he interrupts, scrutinizing the large closet.

As he gazes at it, her image suddenly pops up and he felt goosebumps.

Wales shook his head, trying the incident that happened last night.

He couldn't believe he had sex with a human. The annoying fact was that he couldn't control his body.

How was he going to face her? His first encounter with her made him feel she was fearless and had known Tyler before.

Damian groaned and laid on the ground, rolling to and fro. The juvenile's action drew Wale's to gaze at him.

Everything was becoming a mess. If Wales was to spend more time here, he would be discovered.

After all, he was the prince of death and more people would lose their lives. Why did Wales change his mind?

"She has an ability to see someone's death and ghost" he confesses as though reading Damian's mind.

Quickly, the lad jolts from the ground and hovers around Wales. This was bad. He didn't think Wales would take his stupid suggestions to heart.

Something must have happened last night to make Wales spare her. It was unlike him. Perhaps, he was becoming more humane.

"That's more reason to kill her" Damian declared in his ears, looking all worried and stressed.

He guessed Brooke was after her eyes, and that's why he spared her to live.

If he gets those eyes, then the prophecy would be fulfilled.

Wales gave him a daring glare, and he stepped back a bit while gulping hard as though almost choking.

He hated it when Wales called him a kid or stared at him coldly. Only Wales could take her soul.

"I need to tail on her to help me find Brooke and stop her from saving lives…got that!" Wales barks, pulling out a dark coat.

Damian nodded and dispersed at once as he knew he wouldn't survive Wale's scolding.

Wales pants softly as he placed his hands on the door of the closet.

He knew Damian was just scared of him, but he got everything under control. Though, he wasn't sure of that. He was losing his abilities to see ghosts gradually.

"I will find you Brooke and take her" he mutters, holding the door firmly while breathing hard.

He felt like suffocating as he exhales deeply while scampering for air. Wales had to ask himself if that was how humans felt when troubled.
