CHAPTER 7 A TRIP TO SPAIN

On a sunny Monday, the piercing sound of the alarm woke her up. Feeling tired, she slowly dragged herself out of bed and got ready within an hour, opting for a black trouser and white long-sleeve top. Aliyah entered the room, asking about her breakfast preferences. "Just prepare tea for me," she replied before shutting the door. Anabel made her way to the sitting room, where her dad sat, engrossed in his newspaper.

"Good morning, Daddy," she greeted, giving him a kiss on the cheek. They sat together, and Anabel affectionately put her arm around her father.

"So, Dad, how did you cope with Mom? We didn't see her," she inquired.

He chuckled and replied, "You know your mother can be quite annoying, but I'm used to her ways. I came to check on you and your friend. You weren't around." Anabel nodded and smiled, sharing a moment with her father. Just then, Aliyah interrupted their conversation by serving Anabel's breakfast. Her father asked if it would be sufficient, and she assured him it was. She finished her meal, called Aliyah to clear the table, and greeted her mother as she emerged. After exchanging pleasantries, Anabel informed her parents that she had to leave. "I'll catch up with you later," she said, bidding them farewell and stepping out of the house. As she drove off, the gatekeeper greeted her, and she embarked on her journey. However, she soon encountered a dreadful traffic jam, causing her to express her frustration.

Mondays are always troublesome with this unbearable traffic. Her phone rang, wondering who could be calling so early. She picked it up and greeted,

"Oh, MD! Hello, sir! Good morning, sir." He asked about her night, and she replied, "It was splendid, thank you, sir. I'm on my way to the office, but the traffic is bad." He sympathized, mentioning that he was also stuck but nearing the traffic. "Okay, sir, see you in the office. Take care," she said before ending the call. Arriving at the office, Anabel quickly got out of her car and rushed up the stairs. Allyssa greeted her, but she couldn't respond.

"Good morning, sir," Anabel finally greeted her boss. He acknowledged the unfavorable traffic situation, and she agreed. He then informed her of some great news but suggested she take a seat and relax while he sent James to get her coffee. "Thank you so much, sir," she expressed gratitude, feeling a bit uncomfortable under his gaze. He called out to James, who arrived promptly with a cup of coffee. After James greeted her in a friendly manner, Anabel acknowledged him and placed the coffee on the table. As the MD continued to stare at her, she felt surprised and uneasy. Trying to dismiss the situation, she decided to take a sip of coffee and act as if she hadn't heard anything. But then he commented on her appearance, mentioning that she looked beautiful and ravishing. Anabel felt increasingly uncomfortable and interrupted him, asking about what he wanted to discuss earlier.

We received an invitation from a company for a long journey, and Anabel was curious about its purpose. The MD opened a drawer and handed her a brown envelope. She opened it to find out it was a business trip to Spain. Excited, she exclaimed, "Wow, amazing!" The MD agreed, emphasizing the need for five representatives from the company. Anabel questioned the inclusion of the MD's friend, who wasn't part of their board. He explained that they needed additional marketers on the trip. Reluctantly, Anabel accepted the decision, faking a smile.

The MD instructed the secretary to inform others about the meeting. Just then, Fedrick, the "talk of the devil," entered the room, surprising everyone. Anabel couldn't help but wonder what he was up to. They exchanged greetings, and the MD thanked him for being there. He mentioned the business trip to Spain, including a party, and Fedrick expressed enthusiasm.

Anabel inquired about the duration of the trip, which was two week. The MD assured her that he had arranged for his personal assistant to manage the company in their absence. As they prepared to leave for the meeting, Fedrick held Anabel's hand, but she reminded him that it was an office setting. Laughing, he insisted on seeing her again and engaged in a passionate kiss. They were interrupted by a knock on the door, and Anabel quickly composed herself. They left the office together after the MD called for her. Fedrick expressed his desire for another encounter, but Anabel reminded him of the secretary's arrival. They both exited the office, leaving their intense moment behind.

"What caused the delay?" the MD asked the two marketers as they reached the meeting board. "We were also planning on the trip," replied Fedrick, expressing his trust in the CEO. The MD thanked him, appreciating their friendship. Ten individuals were present at the meeting, and the MD began discussing the exciting news of the business trip to Spain. However, the Accountant was missing.

"Where is Jasmine?" the MD inquired. Jasmine's personal assistant responded, stating that he hadn't arrived yet and his phone was switched off. The MD instructed them to call Jasmine again. After a few rings, a deep voice answered, revealing that Jasmine was in a coma due to an accident and was currently in the hospital. The team was shocked and concerned. The MD requested more information about the hospital, and the personal assistant provided the details. The MD quickly made a decision, appointing Harrison as a replacement for Jasmine on the trip. He concluded the meeting and instructed Anabel and Fedrick to discuss matters privately. The MD and Jasmine's personal assistant would visit the hospital and provide updates. Anabel acknowledged the instructions, and the meeting adjourned.

Anabel reluctantly returned to her office to discuss matters with Fedrick. As they entered, Fedrick complimented the design of her office, and Anabel thanked him. They both took their seats, and Fedrick took off his suit jacket, making Anabel slightly uneasy. Fedrick inquired about Sarah, Anabel's friend, and her job as a chartered accountant. He expressed admiration for her professionalism and suggested discussing it with Charles. Anabel agreed to inform Charles about Sarah's skills.

Fedrick's persistent advances started to unsettle Anabel. She reminded him that they had just met and that it was too early for such intimate conversations. Fedrick, however, claimed that he had already started considering their relationship since the day they met. Anabel, feeling overwhelmed, mentioned that she needed to go home, pack her clothes, and prepare for the trip the next day.

Fedrick, disappointed by Anabel's resistance, accused her of interrupting their conversation and questioned her reluctance to embrace love. He approached her closely, pleading for her to understand his feelings and be his girlfriend. Anabel hesitated, considering the situation, but their conversation was abruptly interrupted by the secretary delivering a message from the MD. Anabel was informed that the MD was improving and advised her to leave and prepare for the flight at 8 am the next day.

Anabel thanked the secretary, Allyssa, and reassured Fedrick that she was not upset but needed to attend to her responsibilities. She declined his offer to pick her up at the airport, bidding him goodnight. Fedrick kissed her forehead and left the office. Anabel followed suit, leaving to make the necessary arrangements for the trip.

At the airport, Anabel and her friend Sarah were dressed in matching pink gowns with white jackets, creating a color-coordinated look. The MD wore all black, while Fedrick opted for an all-white outfit, and Harrison donned all blue. As they boarded the flight, their journey began

There was mutual communication between them, their plane landed in the evening at Spain it took them three days to get there, they were welcomed by the airport arrivals Anabel was the happiest among them, she feels like her sorrow is gone the new refreshment she had had keep her feelings better.

Soon, they got to the expensive hotel in Spain Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid Finally after a long days at the plane Sarah lamented , yes boo but it was fun Anabel replied, Anabel you look so good in your outfit Fedrick complimented, really are serious about this Fedrick so for the past three days you didn't realize my outfit till we landed Anabel chuckles, I think his mind was to land maybe he is Afraid of plane crash Sarah interrupted , Heartbreaking Harrison said , may we not encounter that Charles replied They all laughed.

Their bags were being taken by the hotel secretary to their various rooms which have been booked for them. Wow so we are all book for each room? yes Sarah I am so happy because you snore! what God Forbid Anabel I don't snore, well the last time I check you snore a frog she laughed, you are such a bad girl, what am just telling the truth don't you think it's necessary,

oh, necessary kill you there Sarah laughed. Sarah got to her room immediately dialed the hotline and order for food, Anabel threw the bag on the bed and lie so flat, Charles off his jacket unbutton his cloths till he only wears boxer and singlet he called hotline and order for food, Harrison took his phone to talk to his family, Fedrick went straight to freshen up and also order for food.

Its Dinner time Charles had to tell them to come have Dinner, the table was full of fruits, and different Delicacy. So guys what are your plans for this very big Project the Md asked, Well Well as an Accountant I had idea in some big company's like this we want to have some deal with we need to be very truthful and reliable, because everything about financial is compatible, competency so we need a proof to show off how big our is you get I mean show them the data and all that to get them on our track, Sarah said as she took an apple and eat, that a good idea the MD responded, well in a marketing strategy we need to apply SWOT as we know as the strength , weakness, opportunity, threat, what am trying to say is that we need to target their SWOT analysis, and we all know that we have a competitor in this contract so we need a very good plans to show off and that all on me I got this so I planned on some marketing essays how to impress them , persuade them and make them belief that without Corporate Affairs there is nothing like a marketing coach and there is no Company better than us, she laid this down as she took a grape and threw it to her mouth.

Wow am so proud of you Anabel hmmm, you are so intelligent dear, MD complimented, my pleasure sir she smiled. Also sir I have a plan too Harrison interrupted, well as a content creator I have plan a lot catch and amazing content that would hook them up and make the stick to our plan so I promise they will surely fall for that, hmmm bad content creator Anabel said, wow am so proud guys and this is such a good and amazing Commitment, well friend always remember I got your company actually I made a cloths I choose their land color which we know that Spain flag color is Red , Yellow and Red so I did a trouser and suit ladies writing our company name and for we the man of the land I made a trouser and suite with the company Name , oh my God ! this is so surprising that huge they were all Flabbergasted, my gee the Md hug Fedrick for his best work, so we have just today to plan well and go win the contract tomorrow, and we spend sometimes before going to the country, they all planned as fore. They bid themselves goodnight.

It's the day, the MD had sent a motivation message to them all and asked them to get ready before 10 to get to the company early. They were all dressed officially the dress look so good, they onboard to the car they were all amazed by peoples, soon they got to the company, what! What a huge building Sarah exclaimed, I swear Sarah this we must win Anabel said, ladies' you guys let move, they all work Majestically into the building, they were amazed by the worker of the building, this is amazing look at them they were all dressed with the color of our land this is beautiful, a white lady coming down from the upper floor with a lot files in her hand, well the other competitor were there before they arrive.

Corporate Affairs welcome to the Board I must say your appearance kill it all the CEO of the company said, yes this is Amazing i do hear about those company in Nigeria but know I see the inner power in it.

A beautiful slim woman interrupted, Thanks so much, Mrs. Elizabeth and thanks Mr. Pedro you welcome the CEO replied. They greeted their competitors. The countdown Began and Corporate Affairs won the contract. They all Jubilate back to the hotel. Hey Anabel can we go out for some walks and have lunch outside the Hotel, Fedrick asked for that, Sarah gave a look of jealousy look , Fedrick where do you know here at Spain , look at you I should be the one asking this, He is a tourist he travels all around the Md Added, well I go freshen up and I come join you, well am waiting right here come on wont you refresh and take some showers nope dear if io do that a sleeping drug oh ok, and where is Harrison the MD interrupted, I saw him going into that shopping mall Sarah replied oh ok that fine the Md said. Anabel is Fedrick trying to take things more serious with you? Hmm my sister that's how I see it oooo, congrats dear you are so lucky to have a man like him, look at how he pulls up everything at the company he is such an intelligent man, yeah Sarah he is so much with vibe and a very deep knowledge. well, I freshen up and go meet him, she took the blue towel and went in to the bathroom. So now you are falling deeply in love with him silly girl , I never knew that this man is so much good like this I will make sure he hates you, well I still have some of your dirty lifestyle I will never let you marry a ,ore successful man more than me , Sarah said with jealousy over my dead body , only you your salary is higher than mine, and now a CEO of a company wants to take you as his wife so I will be like an slave to you never I will I will put this done . Oh the water in this hotel is so warm and refreshing , Anabel said as she walk back to the room spraying perfume all over her body, yeah I was to share that with you this morning but our mind is at the contract, yeah thanks we won this mehh Sarah I am sure my salary would be high and our company will be the talk in town, yeah dear congratulation, Anabel choose a shinning blue gown that not too long and a little high heel she took a bag hand bag as she kiss Sarah on her cheek , babe I buy you something don't miss me too much dear, alright bye enjoy yourself, take selfies.

Shall we , Fedrick put forth his hand to Anabel as he hold her out of the Hotel he already ordered for a cab, they got in. Soon they got to a very luxurious Restaurant which was 20 miles to the hotel. Anabel you always look Ravishing, thanks Fedrick, you welcome dear. Fedrick ordered for food and wine. Anabel, I want to use this opportunity to come straight to you, I am not married neither have I engage, neither do I have a girlfriend, I understand when you say it's to early to be love. But I want you to know that a life without love is just like a tree without blossoms, I love you to the core I have expressed this in so ways but you refuse to accept God knows I love you so much I want to start all over with you I mean start a new life with you I also have been hurt a lot and I never wish to be hurt again everyone has been hurt but I promise Anabel, I promise to take good care of you, I love you so much Fedrick said with a serious look. Fedrick I am afraid I have been hurt so many times , look a lot of experience I have I even hate myself more, look this is how those men then I dated pour out their feelings to me but unexpected they change still some refuse to tell me the reason, in fact they as more successful as you, Fedrick I already vow to find myself before I could commit myself to any man, Fedrick I am hurt I am broken I am shattered , like I mean I remain just small pieces and the pieces is making me live and I can't let any man tamper with that I focus on my career myself my work and life goes on enough is enough Fedrick I know life is love and love is life but that quotes is not meant for me I need to move on I need to find myself and thank for a friend like Sarah she has been there for me although I really appreciate her effort.

Anabel look at me, I am different I know it would be hard but I am different I want you and damn serious with just a chance ok let do three months and see how it goes please Anabel please I can't breathe without you, you are my life I need in you in my life. Fedrick well I need some time I just need to get myself in order, I wait Anabel I promise, why do you want to because I love you, well ok if you say so, she drank the wine.

They both got to the hotel, thanks for today Anabel he didn't wait for her response and gave her a deep Passionate kiss on her lip, good night he entered his room.

Oh madame lover welcome, thanks Sarah so where is my own share, oh I forgot I make up for you tomorrow, so gist me, he is in love with me and I began to feel the same, really, yes of course Sarah aren't you are happy I am finding another true love I hope this last. That a good idea but as for me I want to sleep, Anabel said as she hang her clothes on the wardrobe change to her night dear she jump on the bed Good night Sarah, Good night lover girl, they chuckle. in next two minutes she was done with what she is doing she went out to stroll to see the beauty of the country , soon Harrison came out also wearing a shot and white singlet, Hey Sarah , hi Harrison good job , oh thanks and also good job to you, what are you doing at this time , really I should be the one asking what are you doing at this time I am a man and you are a woman, ok if you say so , though I came out to see the beauty of the country and to also stroll , oh same here Harrison chucklers , well in that case can we both enter my room to play game I actually brought watt , Watt!! That so weird of you Harrison , yeah I am weird right ? he chuckles , they both entered the room Sarah sat on the bed Harrison pour the watt on the table as they played with a lot of Happiness , Sarah laugh so hard as Harrison crack jokes she was about to fall as Harrison held her they both stare for some time Harrison couldn't hide what he felt he took her to her harm he kissed her , Sarah also responded to the kiss, they began to unbutton their clothe Harri0sson laid her down as he lied on her and covered herb with the blanket.

The MD came out of his room he has been expecting then food he ordered why it has not be delivered as e was on his way to report one of the receptionist met him, good evening sir we are sorry for the inconvenient , The MD was lost she is so beautiful, white with her lip red as rose , oh well am not mad I thought as much that you were busy, yes sir thanks for your understanding, they both entered the room, as she was about to leave the MD called her back are you the only one in reception , not at all sir, I am done so I head home, this night why can't you stay till tomorrow , I can't sir , ok would you mind you spend the night with me , before she could respond the MD drag her to the bed don't be shy I promise I would not do anything pretty, what your name, I am Stella , oh what a beautiful name you have, Stella stare at the MD , he couldn't help but stare back they stare for some minutes as Stella put her hand around his neck, he responded by kissing her they both have a deep romance night, Its past 2 in the midnight Sarah had slept off with Harrison, Anabel who turns on the Bed realized Sarah wasn't on the Bed, she was curious she stood up to check the bathroom, what is going on did she sleep on the street, she called her, Sarah was woken up by the sound of her phone, she was so ashamed having romance with Harrison she immediately dressed up and quietly leave the room . Sarah what happen do you sleep on the street? oh not at all I was talking to my friend in Italy so that took my time dear am sorry, I was worried and here I am you don't have to be they slept

Its finally the day their flight to take off. Sarah couldn't look at Harrison she was ashamed of her nasty behavior, they were all at the Airport waiting for the flight to take off soon the flight took off Anabel was surprised about Sarah silent, she has been moody, she asked so many times but still assures her all is well. Finally, they landed and they all went to their destinations.
