After the family breakfast, a sense of shared understanding and warmth filled the air. Caden, however, knew there were other matters that needed his attention.

"Elara, I need to go see Valara. She should be arriving today from Telarion with her new ship, and we have important things to discuss," Caden informed her, his tone indicating the shift back to his official responsibilities.

Elara nodded, understanding the demands of his position. "Of course, go ahead. I'm sure you both have a lot to catch up on. We'll be here when you get back."

Caden leaned in and kissed Elara on the forehead, a gesture of affection and appreciation. "Thank you. I'll be back as soon as I can."
