Chapter 17; Su You Qing, why?

"I hate that sympathetic look! I won't pity you!" He coldly muttered shoving her to the further end keeping distance in between...

"Do you...." She wanted to retort back but recalled, she was at his mercy, she immediately shut her mouth keeping quiet.

He eyed her for a moment before closing his eyes and leaning back on his seat trying to calm down.

He could be harsh to her but still, he couldn't accept someone else mistreating her, something deeper in him was whispering that she wasn't a bad girl, it was the circumstances she was in.

Back in the mansion, Feng Ying Long was sitting on the couch lost as tears went down his cheeks, he still didn't believe that the woman he had wished to marry for so many years was now their stepmother, what a mockery.

"Su Mei, you need to go home, there is nothing to do here..." Feng Ying Ting dismissed her, he abhorred everyone who hailed from the Su family, earlier on, he had just acted out welcoming her but in the real sense, he was disgusted by her presence.

While directing Su Mei, Feng Ying Long shot up and rushed out of the house into the parking lot and boarded one of the cars in the garage driving out as most cars had keys hanging around them.

"Damn it!" Feng Ying Ting cursed out as he rushed over into the parking lot and boarded his car driving out to chase after Feng Ying Long, more guards trailed behind him.

While driving after him, the guards immediately phoned Secretary Lin who was arranging for the civil registrar building to be vacated, they had to do it secretly, maybe after several months then they could publicize it.

"Hello..." He immediately received the phone call.

"Inform Mr President that Feng Ying Long drove out and we are going after him..." They could see him driving faster on the highway maneuvering through the street cars dangerously.

"All right, just be careful and don't go after him, just watch and follow his car at a distance just in case of anything..." He cautioned them before hanging up, if they chased him relentlessly, he might end up being involved in an accident so it was better to give him space.

"Feng Ying Long has driven out..." He twisted his head to the back and notified him as he eyed the couple who were going to get married, but they looked like they were mourning and going to attend a funeral.

They sat so distant and each had a gloomy face, each seemed to be in his/her world.

Feng Ying Xie rubbed his forehead, he didn't understand why his son was so obsessed with Su You Qing, he sometimes felt like she could be the cause of his sudden behaviour several years ago.

The doctors had diagnosed him with severe depression and other things, but he didn't understand how a teenage boy could develop that, and since then, it had severely altered his mentality.

"It's okay, he might be headed to the civil registrar's office, have they cleared the entire place?" He loudly sighed eying Su You Qing whose head was still bowed and hadn't lifted it.

"Yeah, just a few things remaining..." He mumbled responding as they got near the parking lot and parked the car.

The entire place was empty and tightly guarded by the police force, Su You Qing lifted her head and gazed out of the window her eyes wandering. The side she had been slapped was swollen and looking red.

"Get some ice cubes for her, I don't want my marriage certificate to have an ugly picture on it..." He coldly muttered as he alighted.

He was looking good in a suit all neat, she was also wearing a suit, she wasn't bothered with his remarks, her mind was all occupied on where to begin from, she also didn't have that much time to mess around.

She got down and trailed behind him as Secretary Lin passed a package of ice cubes to her, she received it and pressed it on her cheek.

They had just gotten over to the reception hall when Feng Ying Long rushed in, his footsteps heavily thumped on the floor moving in their direction. His suit and hair looked dishevelled and a mess.

"Su You Qing, why?" He stood there gasping as he gazed at her, his eyes oozed sadness and disbelief. It was a huge blow that he would never recover from.
