CHAPTER 24

"Will you do that? Is this enough for the doll?"

I took out 200,000 senna of the money left in the safe last time. I was trying to relieve some stress, so it wasn't a waste of money to pay 200,000 senna as a challenge. Or maybe I've just gotten used to the noble life in the meantime. But Anna only picked up 50,000 of them.

"With this much, I can order a pair of male and female dolls from a talented craftsman."

so I asked Anna and gave her the rest of the 150,000 sena.

"Well, with this, I need you to buy me some fabric and sewing tools to make doll clothes, The rest is the cost of your hard work."

"It's my job to serve you, miss, so I don't need any cost for my hard work."

"Why? You don't like to receive anything from me?"

"Yes? Oh, no, it's not like that. . . . ."

It was the first time I saw Anna flustered. Just by looking at it, I could see what kind of advice she had received.

"Then why are you so nervous about? it's just a small sum of money to bribe you with my pride. So just take it as a hard work expense."

Anna thought about it for a while and then accepted it.

"Thank you. Miss."

"Please take good care of me. I'm so bored these days."

In fact, I knew from the beginning that Anna was the one who was attached to watch me. Of course, it's a matter. But at least she didn't look at me with white eyes or ignore me. Even for that alone, I was grateful to her, and I want to repay it. It was just something that was always in the back of my mind. It would have been even more heartbreaking if Anna had rejected my sincerity. For her efforts, Anna returned that evening with a pair of wooden dolls, sewing kits, and a box of fancy fabric and buttons.

"How did they make it already?"

"It's was luckily, some of his customers canceled the oder."

"That was good luck! This is really well made."

I thought of a rough piece of wood, and surprisingly, it was a smooth wooden doll with joints moving.

"You did a great job, Anna."

"Do you want me to get you a pattern for doll clothes?"

"Huh? can you do that?"

"Just tell me in the bedroom, and i draw it for you soon. I'll be back."

I felt like Anna had strangely become kinder.

Is it really because of the hard work. . . . .? Anyway, thanks to Anna, I was able to start making clothes for my dolls the next day. I only remembered it when I started it. I wasn't very handy, except that I liked to tinker. At first, I was annoyed that my stitching wasn't going the way I thought it would, but I quickly changed my mind.

"It's not like anyone's judging me, so it does not matter if I'm not good at it. I'm just trying to have fun by killing money and time. and that's the real luxury, right?'

Thinking that this was part of luxury, I felt relieved at once, and suddenly, every sweat was fun. It was a little annoying because I had to grass it so that the threads wouldn't loosen, but I felt great joy whenever a piece of cloth changed into a three-dimensional dress.

'Yes, this is a hobby! Whether you're good at it or not, you feel happy!'

In my previous life, I had never enjoyed this kind of relaxation of mind. I always lived like I was being chased by something, and I was always looking for the best use of my time. it's ironic, but now that I'm possessed by someone else's body, I feel like I'm living as myself. No one was looking for me all day, and I had nothing else to do, so after three full days of commitment, I was able to dress the male and female dolls in convincing clothes. When I turned the inside of the clothes upside down, the crooked sewing and the protruding thread were very messy, but it didn't matter because it wasn't visible on the outside.

"It looks pretty good,"

Taking advantage of the gap where there was no one around, I cut the thick thread and put it on the doll's head. I didn't like baldness because it reminded me of the old days when I had leukemia. The male doll had black hair, and the female doll had brown hair, but it looked much better with the hair on it.

"It's finally done!"

A man doll wearing a white shirt, a black vest, and black pants with a dark blue cape and a woman doll wearing a light yellow basic dress were turned around for a long time and stood facing each other.

"Now, kiss."

The two faceless dolls stood toward each other and kissed shyly.

'I haven't even done it at the wedding, but you guys can kiss as much as you want.'

I stood the doll in that pose and looked at it for a long time. I felt like I was using it for some reason, but it was a bit funny to be overly immersed in doll play, so I quickly cleaned up the surroundings.

I've made doll clothes, so now I'm going to try embroidery.

***

"Edith Riegelhoff is on probation."

"What? Is that true?"

"According to the letter from Hanson, yes."

"Ahahaha! What's going on?"

Layla, who was drinking tea with her younger brother Anton, laughed at the news from Damian.

She laughed out loud at the news. It was the happiest news since the seat next to Killian, who was just squinting and staring, was taken away by Edith, not anyone else.

"What the hell did she do? a bride who just gets married has been on a probationary period."

Layla asked Damian with sparkling eyes. Damien summarized the whole story briefly, recalling a letter from Hanson, a spy planted in the Duke Ludwig family.

"She's stolen the Duke's internal documents. And sent it to the Count Riegelhoff."

"Oh my God, is it bold or stupid in the world? How long has it been since she got married, and she already revealed her true colors?"

"She must have been in a hurry. Count Riegelhoff's must be planning to hit the Duke Ludwig within this year."

While there won't be any noticeable conflicts until the end of the year, just because the surface of water is calm doesn't mean the waters are calm underneath. Count Sinclair, who was aiming for an aide to the Duke of Ludwig, has been keeping a close eye on the affairs of the Riegelhoff family, which is currently the most closely related to the Duke of Ludwig in terms of business. That's why he was able to notice their hints.

"In the first place, Edith was cast aside, so whatever the woman was dealt with by the Duke family. Count Rigelhoff would have tried to secure favorable information as soon as possible. But the Duke of Ludwick is not a so easy person."

Leila nodded her head, but Anton looked away.

"But even if she were caught, wouldn't it be dangerous if the Duke's internal documents fell into the hands of Count Riegelhoff?"

"Once again, the Duke of Ludwig is not an easy person. Would he really entrust an important document to Edith?"

"Well, He wouldn't trust her with it, even if she were me."

"Hanson said the duke didn't think seriously about the Ludwig family information that got leaked itself. If so, the duke might have entrusted useless piece of documentation in Edith hands, and I just wanted to check what paths they flowed over there."

Layla burst into laughter at the words.

"Fool! So Edith falls into a trap in a good way?"

"That's right."

Layla was in a good mood. The fact that the Duke of Ludwig left Edith in such a way was proof that he did not recognize her as his daughter-in-law.

"Then why did they only give her probation? She dared to deceive the Duke. They should have kicked her out right away!'

"Layla. Not everything is as simple as you think."

"What? Are you looking down on me now?"

Damien sighed at the sight of his sister, who was quickly angry.

"I'm saying this because you're so naive. Why did Duke Ludwig marry Edith to Killian in the first place? It's because of the idea of holding onto the leash of the Count Riegelhoff."

"But you said Edith was thrown away by the Count Riegelhof!"

"That's because the Duke of Ludwig doesn't know it yet!"

There's no one can imagine it. For someone who doesn't mind spending 5 million money on his daughter's dress, just use his daughter as a bait.

"Then why don't we tell the Duke of Ludwig about it?"

"We can't do that,"

"Why?"

"Then the Count Riegelhoff will save himself. If that happens, their downfall will only be delayed."

Layla's lips pouted, but Damien figured the secret would be out by the end of the year. By the time the Count Riegelhoff really abandoned Edith and rebelled against the Duke of Ludwig. However, there was one thing that bothered him. Damien recalled the rest of the letter he didn't tell Layla. . . . .Killian, who was not interested in Edith before, seems to be taking care of her strangely after that. He visits Edith's room from time to time, and sometimes, he eats together. Of course, it's not clear that Edith is the culprit yet, but. . . . . It was very uncomfortable news.

'It's better for Killian to remain indifferent to her. . . . .he will abandon her in the end, but it's bothering him somehow.'

Damian thought about it by himself while drinking tea. But for now, Lizzy is more troublesome than Edith Riegelhoff.

"Brother . What are you thinking so much about? Your face crumpled up to. . . . ."

Unlike Layla, who is happy, Anton asked while looking at his brother's expression. Damien said without mentioning Killian.

"Edith will take care of it, so there's nothing to worry about. Rather, Lizzy, that bitch is the problem."

"Lizzy?"

Layla's expression crumpled up at the name.
