Ylana POV
Indigo’s eyes started shining when they pulled up to the front of the Garnet mansion. “I forgot how big this place is.”
Ylana had forgotten that the only time Indigo had been over was for the wedding. Now that she and the Garnets saved him from their father, it would be his home now.
“It’s so much better inside,” Ylana told Indigo as she moved his hair out of his eyes for him. “Nothing like the penthouse. This is a real home.”
Ginger climbed out of the car and said, “Why don’t we show him his room, Ylana?”
An excited smile crossed Indigo’s face – something Ylana hadn’t seen her brother do in a long time. “Cool!” He crawled out after Ginger.
Ylana looked at Jack, the security guard. “Thank you for helping. I know it’s your job, but I’m still grateful. The same goes for you, Fred!”
Jack smiled. “It’s no problem, Miss Ylana.”
Fred turned around in the driver’s seat so he could look at her. “I haven’t done a rescue mission in a while. It was a thrill.”
