Ylana POV
Since Ginger had proclaimed that all the planning for the New Year ball was practically done, she took Ylana and Indigo out shopping.
Indigo looked behind them as they walked through the store. “Is that guy going to be following us the whole time?”
Ylana took a peek. “Oh, yeah, Jack will be hovering the whole time.”
“Because you’ve almost been killed three times?” Indigo questioned as he stopped walking to look at some furniture.
Ylana didn’t like that she needed to tell Indigo about all her worries. “Threatening notes have been showing up in the mail every day.”
Indigo stopped his browsing. “What do the notes say?”
Ginger groaned. “Whoever sends them says we have to get rid of Ylana or they’ll do it themselves.”
“Like they’ll kill her?” Indigo gasped.
Ginger shrugged nonchalantly. “Supposedly.”
Ylana was confused by Ginger’s carefree attitude about it all. “You don’t seem worried anymore.”
