Most of the early chapters are 2000+ words per chapter, cuz the pacing is kind of slow.

"Sis. I think you'd want to see this." Nova called as she floated near the ceiling of Lucius' office building.

With a questioning look, Yenn leapt up to the ceiling, landing on it. And as soon as she fell on the ceiling floor, she let out a surprised hum.

Nova shook her head at Yenn's question as she stared at the object of their stupor.

Ahead of the two was a shadow black sphere, eight feet in diameter, with dark blue light encasing its surface.

Activating energy vision, Yenn took a peek at what could be in this strange ball and gasped. "This thing has Apocalyph's energy in it."

Using energy vision, a master at the technique could recognize others without having to look. And this was because, at the center of a person's being, was their energy core which had the true shape and colour of their energy.
