Most of the early chapters are 2000+ words per chapter, cuz the pacing is kind of slow.

Crimsoux: The Supreme Species

Devastation, adaptability, unpredictable nature, effectiveness and versatility. Those were the main qualities Apocalyph, Yenn, Jiten, Nova and Enzo brought to the battlefield in that respective order.

"Sully is quite moist, isn't it?" Enzo asked.

"It is." Apocalyph cracked his neck and bent his back a little, ready to attack.

With a big black halo behind his back and a white halo around that one, Enzo's striking figure stood tall and confident.

The hair that he had just cut yesterday had already grown back to its waist length, with a longer white stripe moving down from the middle of his hair tracing along his back. Any scratches or traces of tiredness that were on his body had long faded away, with his monotone coloured eyes burning with new life and energy.

Alas, Enzo's internal state was quite the opposite of his appearance.
