Chapter 45 A cross road

Galford was becoming restless. It’s been a month since they’ve gotten separated, but until now, their benefactor, sir Clifford, hasn’t shown up on their rendezvous point.

Still, they continued waiting, always gazing at the horizon to the place where they’d left him.

“Maybe we should look for him?”

Hallor walked in on the old warrior while he was staring into the forest. The youth’s expression was filled with fear and anxiety.

“No, we wait here. No matter how long it takes.”

Galford said in a hardened tone, remembering the conversation they had with sir Clifford before all of that happened.

Part of him wanted to agree with the youngster, but he did not wish to g against their lord’s command.

Hearing that, Hallor’s face twisted in frustration, grinding his teeth at the fact his master was being hard-headed again.

“Many moons have already passed and we still haven’t heard anything from him yet.”

He blurts out in frustration.
