Chapter 44 Meeting with the one

Clifford wheeze with every breath, groaning from the searing pain throbbing from every part of his body. He didn’t think that he’d experience something like that in a temporary body.

He didn’t think the pain would be excruciating, resembling his previous wounds from his original one.

Rushing through the woods, he did not stop for anything; he kept his map window open, alert for any warning that may pop-up.

Though he’s manage to teleport himself, thanks to having accidental copied Arty’s skill when he used it, he was unsure how far he’d gotten, being unaccustomed to it.

It was only when he sensed some odd lingering sensation did he stop in his tracks, wary that someone might catch up to him.

“It seems you’re at death’s door again, my chosen one.”

The low, echoing voice ringed inside his head, causing him to wince. There was a pause before the entity spoke again.

“Or should I say, your souls returning to your original body.”
