My Forced  Marriage

As I sat on the floor waiting for the beings in front me, to strike their judgements upon me. But what was the weirdest part about this situation, was the fact these two were getting along so well, just scheming against me. I understand why Stephan would hate me, but why is my life partner crime, also in on this. Why am I even sitting on the floor in my own apartment?


"Listen, Stephan, I'll have to talk later, even though I didn't break our contract. I didn't date anyone. So I don't have to pay the termination fee"


Her blank rage infilled face, stared into the depths of my eyes. It felt as if medusa appeared but I was the side character before Perseus came along. Her charming looks were being overshadowed by the literal J⚫J⚫ stand forming behind her.


I turned to Stephan as he stared in awe at this unbelievable sight, not anyone would normally be able to behold with their eyes, but here I was about to dissipate into thin air.


 I decided to go out alone and gestured to Stephan to get out whilst he still can. But as he ran out the apartment, he shut the door behind him, leaving no escape route for his own friend. I had to accept a marital fight with my wife at this point, escape or excuse. 


"So explain, why was he so mad over some contract. What you pick will decide if you're a divorced man or maybe even a dead man. Choose your choices wisely"


If I tell her the truth it wouldn't be bad, cause it was before we got married nor was it about her, so I should be fine. 


"It was nothing really, we just got catfished alot and one night when we were out of it we made a stupid contract. Later giving it to Emily, and wrote she had the power, to take whatever she wanted from us, if we broke the contract"


I told her the truth, I gave her all the information, yet her power level seemed to rise nonstop as if I said something worse. How could I turn this situation around.


"Ooooh, that was the problem, she's just one of our co-workers. I knew her for a long time. Nothing to worry"


She still seemed suspicious about the situation, even caused me to wonder if my skin started turning red. Then I felt it, he was near, there was no time to worry if I would cheat or not Stella. The man I respect the most in this world is approaching.


I heard two calm knocks on the door, and an ordinary call out to my name. Stella walked over to see who was calling out to me, but I gently grabbed her arm, to stop her path to that door.


"That's my boss, And I haven't really told him we got married, Luna and Lucas must have ratted me out"


"Oh I see another person you deemed unworthy of telling about your wife at home."


She pulled her arm away and continued walking to the door, but this time she trudged faster as if she wanted to see my boss. What is she planning? Why did he have to come now when she's mad at me.


I couldn't do anything but hold my head and lay my knees on the floor for the inevitable disaster I over thought about in my head.


"Oh, you must be his lovely wife. How has things been between the two of you, I'm sorry for only introducing myself now, I wasn't invited to the wedding"


"Hahaha, We're great aren't we Emmanuel"


She said whilst they both stared at me hands on head, knees to the floor. Their faces filled with confusion as if this was the most unusual thing to ever happen. Stephan you bastard I should have made you stayed


"I wonder how Emmanuel's doing, he's probably fine by now"
