Synopsis

Quick heads up, I'm no history buff, and because I'll be tossing other movies and whatnot in the mix, the 'timeline' is going to end up all kinds of fucked up.

Anyway here's an overview of Chargen:

The soul of the man that is put into Hiccup's body is a Mechanical Engineer that likes Plastic cocaine (Mini Wargaming), being a medieval conscript (Historical Re-enacting/MMA), and making his own Alcohol.

So before we can begin, we need to get some things straight.

The quest will start at, or just before, the beginning of the First Movie

My original thought was to have the MC 'dropped in' as Hiccup, as in the protagonist, a person from our world, wakes up in Hiccup's body. Armed with Metaknowledge and stuck in the body of 15-year-old hiccup, this quest puts you right in the path of the plot of HTTYD.

I should mention before the vote, that only the consciousness of the MC will be transported over to the HTTYD verse. Physical skills from before the transport will still have a malus, because you're, ya know, Hiccup, but will be easier

Engineer (will have another vote for specifc type)

What type of Engineer?

Mechanical: Focus on the design and creation of complex devices. Catapults, Machines, etc

9/102

Chemical: Focus on the synthesis of substances. Gundpowder, medicine, etc

6/6

Civil: Focus on the design and creation of infastructure. Buildings, ships, etc

4/41

Electrical: Honestly probably not going to be useful.

Quick thing. I'm undecided on whether or not the MC should get all or some of Hiccup's memories/skills, and since that can influence the previous vote, I'll leave it up to chat.

Give the Protag Hiccup's Memories and a small bonus to Hiccup's Skils

Give the Protag Hiccup's Memories but no skills

Give the Protag Neither

Give the Protag Hiccup's Memories and a small bonus to Hiccup's Skils and re-vote the previous vote.

Okay cool, with the Protag's previous occupation out of the way, hobbies.

You can have up to 3 hobbies, or have less but a more intense interest in what you do have.

Maxium of 3, but the fewer you have, the bigger the effect the hobbies have.

Historical Re-enacting.

So the MC is a Mechanical Engineer that likes Plastic cocaine, being a medieval conscript, and Making his own Alcohol.

Not the strangest person to be honest. I know people who are stranger in real life.

Berk, and the whole Viking Archipelago, will be somewhere north of the British Isles and in between Greenland and Norway.

Berk is the most northern Tribe, with the exception of the Outcasts, and is a struggling Village.

The rest of the world exists and the year will be somewhere around, if not just before 1000AD. I don't have in-depth knowledge about most places in Europe historically, so there will be inaccuracies and changes. Places may be more advanced than they were, they may be less advanced, or they may just straight up not exist.

As for the 'tone' of the world, I'll say this:

Conflict between men is predominant, even in the dragon-infested archipelago.

Having Thralls (Slaves) is accepted and seen as a sign of status.

Having multiple wives/concubines is normal for higher status individuals.

Though the Vikings of the Archipelago raid their southern neighbors, Berk isn't one that commonly does so, simply because they can't afford to with dragons at their doorstep.

Is Magic a thing? If yes, then it will be very rare and secretive.

Alright, so we're almost done. The last thing is, well, this is Akun and within like 5 minutes of going live with this quest I got asked if the dragons can be fucked.

Here are your options:

Yes, but not in their dragon form. Dragons can shape-change into a more human form for a period of time. Pretty much just Dragon-monster Girls.
