Chapter 30-The Oasis Resort, Part Two

"AHHH…"

I let out a sigh of comfort as I floated on a large inflatable raft in the pool of the Oasis Resort, Brokolyn Village.

At one point, I open my eyes, and with my position laying on my back, I'm able to see the GIANT gray wall in the outskirts of the village, which spans as far as the eye can see both widths, but is also tall enough to breach the clouds.

"Huh…?" I ask as I lift my sunglasses up.

"Um…Old-Man F?" I ask, causing the Old Man who was talking to Mary with their feet dangling in the pool to perk up.

"Yes?"

"What's that giant wall?" I ask as I point off in the distance.

"Remember how I told you that the South side of the world is dominated by water and the East is dominated by wind? Well…that wall there separates the water and wind sides of the world. By crossing through…we can enter the Land of Wind."

My eyes widen.

"So you mean…?"

"Yes. We have almost reached the Wind Charger."

A wide grin spreads across my face.

"Great, let's go get changed and head over there!" I exclaim.

And so, I gather everyone, and once we've changed out of our bathing suits and stocked up on supplies, we're ready to move out.

Old-Man F leads us over to the giant wall, and then to a large, locked green door at the bottom of the wall, standing at around twenty feet tall and ten feet wide, per each double door that is covered by huge golden chains and a large golden padlock, which still looks like a mere fly compared to the rest of the structure.

The two guards positioned at the door perk up, who hold two spears up in a cross.

"Excuse me, is this the door leading to the Land of Wind?" Old-Man F asks.

"It is!" The guard booms as they slam the butt of their spear against the ground, "Are you trying to pass through?"

"We are," Old-Man F answers.

"HAH!" The guard spots as they jab the butt of their spear towards me, causing me to stumble back, "I can't just let ANYONE into the Land of Wind! You better have a damn good reason or a note from someone special!"

"Seriously?! "What do we do now?!"

The second guard nudges the first guard in the ribs, causing the guard to flinch and turn to the second one.

The second guard motions to the first guard, and so the first guard leans in close.

The second guard cups a hand around the first guard's ear and begins whispering into it. The guard nods, and nods, and then, his eyes widen.

The four of us shrug as we look back and forth between one another.

The first guard coughs, then pulls away from the second guard.

"Excuse my rudeness, Team Noah," the guard coughs, "I had no idea you…unassuming four were the heroes who saved us from Twilight Wolf! You see…I can't read…"

The four of us smile at one another.

"So you'll-?!"

"Yes. I shall let you four enter the Land of Wind."

"ALRIGHGT!" The four of us cheer as we throw our hands into the air in celebration.

"HOWEVER-" the guard then says as they hold a hand up, putting a pause on our celebration, "As per the policy, once you enter the Land of Wind…I can't let you back into the Land of Water. So if your quest gets too difficult for you to handle…good luck."

Our eyes widen.

"So once we enter…we can't come back…?" I ask.

"What do we do, Noah?" Mary asks.

"What do you mean?" I ask as I peer down at Mary, "We're still going through."

"Noah, are you sure?!" Khione cries, "Doesn't this feel too…sudden?"

"Khione's right," Old-Man F answers, "That wall completely separates the Land of Wind from the Land of Water, meaning that we have no idea of what it's like over there, both cultural and status wise. When we cross over, we would be starting from zero. In both reputation and knowledge."

"I agree," Mary shudders, "We don't know what is ahead of us in the Land of Wind, and once we enter, we can't come back. We should take this time we have now to train while we know we're in a safe place."

"This is the next step in our quest, isn't it?" I smirk, "WE were the ones who defeated the strongest E-Charger in the Land of Water, we're ready for ANYTHING now. We won't get stronger if we stay here and train, there's no one left for us to fight. If we get scared now…then who will stop the Elemental Apocalypse? I'm ready to go on through…because I have you guys on my side!"

My friends smile as they look back and forth between one another.

"Even though it's only been a short time, thank you guys…for everything. We've gone through a lot together. You guys aren't just my friends or allies, you…are my FAMILY."

Everyone's eyes widen.

"Master Flint…thank you for training me," I say as I turn to face the Old Man.

"Thank you for being such a great student."

"Khione…thank you for being my first friend," I continue as I turned to face the girl, "You're my best friend."

"Don't worry, you're mine too!"

"And Mary…" I finish as I turn to face the girl, "Thank you for showing me the kind of person I want to become."

"N-no problem, Noah. Thank you for saving me, and inviting me to join Team Noah."

I take a deep breath in…then out, and so, I turn back around to face the door leading to the Land of Wind.

"We're ready," I announce to the guards, "To enter the Land of Wind."

The guards turn to face one another, nod, then step to the side as they lower their spears.

"THEN GO! ENTER THE LAND OF WIND!"

I take a step up to the green door as I place a hand against it.

"I won't do this without you guys," I say as I look back and forth between all of my friends, no…my FAMILY, "Are you guys ready?"

"Ready," Old-Man F answers as he places a hand to the wall as well.

"Of course I am!" Khione answers as she places a hand to the wall as well.

"Only if you are," Mary answers as she places a hand to the wall as well.

"Here you go," the guard says as they each brandish a large golden key and use it to snap the golden padlock on each door open, and the giant golden chains crash to the ground in a loud bang.

"Khione…Master Flint…Mary…let's do this!"

"Right!"

I take a deep breath in, then out…and then, I turn back to face the doors and smirk.

And then…the four of us push the doors open…

But they don't budge.

I blink.

"H-huh…?"

"PUSH, TEAM NOAH!" The guard booms, "THIS DOORS WILL TEST YOU TO SEE IF YOU'RE STRONG ENOUGH TO ENTER THE LAND OF WIND, SO PUSH!"

"RIGHT!" I roar as I push forwards with all my might

Khione roars.

Old-Man F roars.

Mary roars.

The four of us roar as we use every last bit of strength that we have in our bodies to shove the doors open.

The four of us let out a battle cry.

And then, in one final push…the doors swing open.

And we enter the Land of Wind.
