Chapter 31-The Land of Wind

"WWWAAAHHH!!!"

All of a sudden, the double green doors leading to the Land of Wind swing open! And since the four of us were pushing against the door with all of our might, the sudden opening of the door throws us off balance, and the four of us fly forwards before crashing to the ground in a cloud of dust.

"Oww…" I groan as I sit up and rub my head, "You guys okay?"

"Yeah…"

"I'll live…"

"Same here."

The four of us then hear a loud BANG come from behind us, causing us to flinch. I then turn around to face where we heard the bang, only to find that the doors leading back home have been closed up. I then hear some rattling of chains and two clicking noises, signaling that the two doors have been re-locked in their chains.

We're stuck in the Land of Wind.

"Well…there's no going back now," I sigh as I push myself off of the ground.

I then take a moment to survey the Land of Wind.

Upon passing through the double green doors leading into the Land of Wind, the four of us find ourselves standing in a strange field with a weird dirt ground. There are trees, flowers, and plants, so much so that the sun itself is almost completely blocked out above the interlocking leaves of the trees, with long green vines hanging from them.

"Woah…" I marvel as I look around.

"It's beautiful!" Mary swoons, "I've NEVER seen something like this before, with trees and flowers and plants everywhere!"

"What…is this place…?" I ask.

"This is called a jungle," Old-Man F explains, "It's basically like a dirt field that is completely covered in trees and swamps.

"It's amazing!" I cry, "This is like…what I aspire that world to look like when I water plants!"

"Are you sure?" Mary pants, "It's hot…"

"It's HUMID," Old-Man F clarifies, "Due to the drought faced in the Land of Water, humidity isn't something that we feel often. It's a combination of being hot yet moist."

"Here you go," Khione says as she takes a step over to Mary, and then, a cold wind begins circulating around Khione's body.

"Ahh…that's better…"

"Oh, I want in!" Old-Man F exclaims as he takes a step over to Khione.

I then turn around and peer back to the way we came, seeing that the huge wall separating the Land of Water and the Land of Wind is completely covered in dark-green moss and algae

"How odd. The world is SO MUCH different over here in the Land of Wind that our borders look completely different on either side…"

I smile to myself.

"It sure would be nice if more of the world looked like this…"

"So where do we go from here?" Khione asks.

"Let's see…" Old-Man F replies as he reaches into the folds of his gi and pulls out my map and unravels it, then holds it up to his face to see.

"We should start heading to the North-East," Old-Man F answers as he turns to face the direction in which he spoke of, "Currently, we are in Harbor Jungle, and our destination is Quenes Village. According to the map, the Wind Charge is actually rather close by. We shouldn't be spending TOO much time in the Land of Wind, assuming all goes according to plan."

"Great!" I reply, "Let's head out."

But before the four of us can take another step forwards, a voice booms: "WHO GOES THERE?!"

"Wha…who said that?!" I cry as I begin frantically looking around.

The four of us then hear some rustling come from the shrubbery before us, and we turn to face the rustling noise, watching as a man wielding a spear emerges from the Jungle.

"Who are you?!"

I recoil as I throw my hands up in surrender.

"We're Team Noah! The heroes who saved the Land of Water from Twilight Wolf!"

"Twilight Wolf? Never heard of 'em…"

"We're not in the Land of Water anymore, Noah!" Old-Man F shouts, "They don't know us!"

"Shoot, that's right!" I cry as I face-palm.

"So you four come from the Land of Water, huh?"

"Err…yeah…?"

"IMPOSSIBLE! No one has stepped through that gate in the thirty years I've been its guard!"

"Well…we have!"

"And why have you travelers come to the Land of Wind?" The guard asks.

"Vacation!" Khione answers with an innocent smile, causing the guard to narrow his eyes at me.

"Khione, wrong answer!" I snap.

"I find it hard to believe that the Land of Water guards would just let you four in without a good reason…?"

I sigh. "I suppose we'll just tell him the truth…"

"We have come…to find the Wind Charger!" I boom, "We are Team Noah, and we WILL prevent the Elemental Apocalypse!"

The guard's eyes widen. "So you four…believe the legend?"

"My name is Noah, and I am the Water Charge," I continue as I hold a hand up, and water begins swirling around my hand, "My friends here are all E-Chargers too."

My three allies nod.

The guard's eyes widen even further. "The Water Charge…" he softly says to himself. And then…the guard lowers his spear and drops down to one knee, bowing to me.

"Woah! Why are you bowing to me?!"

"Water Charge!" The guard booms, "Please…save our world!"

I peer back down at the guard with a smirk. "That's the plan!" I exclaim.

"Are you here to restore the water to the Land of Wind?"

"What do you mean? You look pretty well-watered to me."

"It may seem that way, but outside of the scarce Jungles in the Land of Wind, the rest of the world is a desert wasteland."

"Huh, just like the Land of Water…" Old-Man F chimes in.

"Of course I'll restore your water!" I answer with a smile, "I'm the Water Charge, it's what I do!"

A wide smile spreads across the guard's face. "Thank you, Water Charger!"

I turn and peer over my shoulder at Old-Man F and smirk. "No one knows who I am, eh?"

Old-Man F sighs and rolls his eyes.

"Now then-" I begin to say as I turn back to face the guard, "Can you show us out of this jungle?"

"Unfortunately, I can't leave my post," the guard answers, before turning North-East and pointing in that general direction, "But if you head straight that way, you'll eventually find the exit to the jungle. Of course, It's not the fastest way, but it's the easiest without a perfect map of the jungle."

"Thank You!" I exclaim as I bow to the guard, before turning around to face my friends, "Now then, Team Noah…shall we head out?"

"Of course!"

"Great!" I reply, before turning North-East again, "Then let's go!"

"Good luck, Water Charger!" The guard waves as the four of us begin heading North-East, "Save our world, and save the Land of Wind!"
