Chapter 112-Carbon vs Helios

"I told ya'," Carbon smirks, "You're dealing with ME!"

"Father will have his way, traitor," Helios replies, "No matter what you do."

Helios resumes his Charge Stance.

"Sun Charge, Level One: Divine Flame," Helios says, then thrusts a hand towards Gaia, firing off a second white-hot beam of light.

"Your flat manner of speaking's annoying!" Carbon cackles as he thrusts a hand towards Helios as well, firing off a beam of plasma.

"Plasma Charge, Level One: Violet Ray!"

Carbon's and Helios' spells fly towards one another and collide in a flash of plasma and light, sending hot air flying everywhere.

"Evenly matched, huh?" Carbon smirks, "Looks like I really should'a been number one…AYE, SMOKEY?!"

Helios says nothing as he slowly lifts a second hand and aims it at Carbon, which results in Helios' beam of light intensifying, and slowly pushing Carbon's plasma back.

"D-dammit," Carbon grunts as he lifts his left hand and aims it at Helios, but by doing this, Carbon is thrown off balance, and Helios' still manages to overpower Carbon's at last.

"Shit!" Carbon cries as he swiftly resumes his Charge Stance, "Steel Charge, Level One; Iron Maiden!"

A wall of steel begins to rise out of the ground in front of Carbon, shielding him from Helios' spell.

But upon making contact with Carbon's steel wall, Helios' sun beam melts through it instantly, which blasts into Carbon and sends him flying backwards.

Carbon's back slams into and then crashes through a jagged spike of blazing red earth, sending it crumbling to the ground, as Caron lands on the ground as well, in a cloud of smoke and dust.

"Damn," Carbon coughs as he waves away the smoke, "That's hot. Melted straight through my steel…"

Carbon jumps to his feet and resumes his Charge Stance.

"Magnet Charge, Level One: Railgun!" Carbon shouts as giant pillars of steel begin to rise out of the ground, then mold together and take shape, taking the form of a GIANT steel railgun.

"Sun Charge, Level Two-" Helios begins to say as he resumes his Charge Stance, and the sun's light begins to intensify, forcing Carbon to have to shield his face from the bright light.

"-Solar Flare," Helios orders as Carbon's railgun begins to fire a beam of plasma his way. But then…a beam of light fires down in front of the sun above, colliding with Carbon's railgun's laser beam and canceling it out in a flash of light.

"H-HOLY SHIT! Carbon cries.

"Sun Charge, Level Three: Planetary Fire," Helios then says again as he resumes his Charge Stance. The heat of the sun intensifies even more, so much so that Carbon's railgun begins to melt, and Helios' sunlight reduces it to a puddle of silver liquid.

"Damn…" Carbon grunts, "Helios' Sun Charge is such a good counter against me. His heat melts my steel, and is hotter than my plasma. With the way I am now, I can never win."

Swiftly, Carbon resumes his Charge Stance.

"Magnet Charge, Level Two: Attraction!" Carbon shouts as he holds a hand out to Helios than crunches. And then, Helios' body begins to fly towards Carbon, as if attracted to him like a magnet.

"Much like Prometheus, I bet Helios' weakness is close-quarters combat!" Carbon smirks as he punches both fists together, and his right fist begins glowing purple with a plasma aura, while his left fist is coated with silver steel.

"Magnet Charge, Level Three: Juggernaut!" Carbon then shouts once Helios in front of him, before punching Helios in the gut with a plasma-covered fist, followed by a jab to the face with a steel-plated punch.

Before Carbon's steel-plated bunch can land, Helios shouts a hand out, and catches Carbon's fist.

"Wh-no way!" Carbon cries.

At first, nothing happened. But then…Carbon yelps in pain as steam begins billowing from Helios' hand, which is faintly glowing white from blazing heat, which begins melting the steel around Carbon's left fist.

Helios then cracks Carbon in the face with a blazing-hot punch.

"Steel Charge, Level Two: Spider!" Carbon desperately shouts as four steel spider-like limbs SHOOT out of his back and attempt to chomp down on Helios, but just the raw heat emanating out of his body alone is enough to melt them.

"Crap!" Carbon cries.

"Sun Charge, Level Two: Solar Flare!"

Helios then shouts as a beam of sun flies down from the sky and smites Carbon, sending him flying backwards.

"That's it?" Helios asks as steam begins billowing off of his own body, as well, "Your plasma isn't NEARLY hot enough to burn me."

"Dammit…" Carbon spits as he pushes himself up, "Helios ain't too weak physically. On top of that, my plasma punches can't hurt him and he can just melt through my steel punches…what do I do…?"

"I need…to AWAKEN."

Helios resumes his Charge Stance again.

"Sun Charge, Level One: Divine Flame," Helios says as he aims both hands at Carbon, and a beam of light fires out of Helios' hands.

"Magnet Charge-!" Carbon begins to shout as he resumes his Charge Stance. Silver and purple sparks of energy begin to flicker around Carbon's body, before quickly fading out.

"Crap…" Carbon grits, "I wasted too much energy on spells that didn't do anything…"

As Helios' beam of light flies towards Carbon, he drops to one knee, panting heavily.

Helio's beam of light grows ever closer, and the white glow completely overtakes Carbon's vision, as if he's being guided to Heaven itself.

But before Carbon can feel the singe of the sun's heat, Carbon's shoved out of the way by someone.

"WH-WHAT WAS THAT?!" Carbon cries as he frantically looks around once white light fades, and Carbon is able to see again.

But then, upon seeing what happened…Carbon's eyes widen.

For standing there, where Carbon previously stood with his arms outstretched, as if he had just pushed someone out of the way…is Carbon's father, Tungsten Brasher.

And in the center of his chest…is a HUGE, smoldering hole wound.

Carbon's eyes widen.

"D-d-d-"

"O-old man…"
