Chapter 128-The Final Battle

Prometheus and I resume our Charge Stances.

"WATER CHARGE, LEVEL THREE: SQUIRT GUN!" I shout.

"FIRE CHARGE, LEVEL ONE: DIVINE FLAME!" Prometheus shouts as well.

Prometheus and I thrust our hands towards one another, firing off a blast of flames and water respectively, which collide in an explosion of smoke.

And through the smoke, I charge, after entering my Charge Stance.

"Water Charge, Level Two: Rapids Claw!" I shout as I launch my fist towards Prometheus, only to be met with a flaming punch that shoots through the smoke as well.

"Fire Charge, Level Two: Blazing Edge!"

Mine and Prometheus' attacks collide, sending water and fire shooting everywhere.

Prometheus then retracts his hands and sticks them both out.

"Fire Charge, Level Three: Destruction Blaze!" Prometheus shouts as he sends a wave of fire shooting in every direction.

"Water Charge, Level One: Bullet Rain!" I shout as I reuse my Charge Stance, calling upon the clouds from above to rain and extinguish Prometheus' flames.

"Water Charge, Level Four: Whirlpool!" I shout as I swing a hand towards Prometheus, letting a powerful whirlpool rip his way.

In response, Prometheus resumes his Charge Stance.

"Fire Charge, Level Four: Solar Flare!" Prometheus shouts, and the clouds above the sky clear away, revealing the bright sun which evaporates my whirlpool.

"Fire Charge, Level Two: Blazing Edge!" Prometheus shouts as he launches a flaming punch my way.

"Water Charge, Level Five: Liquid Armor!" I shout as I turn my body into water, "And…Rapids Talon!"

"Fire Charge, Level Five: Phoenix Robe!"

Mine and Prometheus' fist slam into one another, before passing through our bodies.

"So you can turn your body into fire?" I growl as I retract my fist.

"Of course," Prometheus smirks as he retracts his, "I'm the God of Fire."

"So enlighten me, what took you so long to get here?" Prometheus then asks as he launches another punch my way, which I block.

"I was having a mental roadblock," I answer as I launch a kick towards Prometheus, which he blocks as well, "I wasn't allowing myself to use the full extent of my power, so I couldn't figure out how to Infinity Charge. And Luciano wasn't allowing me to join the battlefield until I could do so."

"So you can Infinity Charge now?" Prometheus excitedly asks as he attempts to sweep my feet, but I jump over his leg."

"No," I answer, causing Prometheus' eyes to widen.

"HOW DO YOU PLAN TO DEFEAT ME IF YOU CAN'T INFINITY CHARGE?!" Prometheus cries, "ARE YOU TRYING TO DIE?! What's stopping ME from Infinity Charging and KILLING YOU right now?"

"You've gone unmatched your entire life," I smirk, "You're DYING for a good battle, God of Fire."

Prometheus pauses, looking shocked for a brief moment, then smirks back.

"You're GODDAMN right."

Prometheus and I thrust our hands towards one another and fire off another blast of water and flames, which results in an explosion that would have KILLED anyone nearby.

Prometheus and I then charge one another again, unleashing a flurry of melee blows.

"You're not bad for such a scrawny guy," I smirk as I launch an elbow towards Prometheus.

"Like you're so big yourself," prometheus smirks back as he ducks under my elbow, "Why did you come if you can't Infinity Charge?"

"I could FEEL my friends calling out to me! The friends that YOU tried to kill" I roar as I SLAM my fist into Prometheus' nose, causing Prometheus to stumble backwards as he clutches his broken nose, which has blood gushung from it.

I then follow that attack up with a powerful jumping kick that sends Prometheus flying backwards.

Prometheus, however, recovers mid-air and slides across the ground.

"Fire Charge, Level One: Divine Flame!" Prometheus shouts as he presses his hands together, and all of a sudden, my body ignites in a golden blaze.

Prometheus cackles as he watches his flames roast my body.

I lift my hands up, looking back and forth between my burning flesh.

A burst of water then gushes from my body, extinguishing Prometheus' fire.

Prometheus raises an eyebrow at me.

I then resume my Charge Stance, before swinging a hand towards Prometheus, wrapping him up in a giant whirlpool and sending him spinning 'round and around.

As Prometheus spins around in my whirlpool, I leap into the air and launch a water covered fist towards him.

"Water Charge, Level Three: Rapids Claw!"

But before my spell can land, Prometheus shoots a hand up and grabs my fist.

"Fire Charge, Level Five: Phoenix Robe!" Prometheus cackles as he turns his hand into fire. Smoke begins to billow from the blazing grip Proemtheu's flames have on my arm, before igniting my arm ablaze. However, I turn my arm into water to counter, extinguishing Prometheus' flames.

Using the grip he has on my arm, Prometheus flips me over his body, but not before attempting to land a flaming punch against me.

"Fire Charge, Level Two: Blazing Edge!" Prometheus shouts as he launches a flaming punch towards me, but I counter by whipping my foot around and launching a water-coated kick towards him.

"Water Charge, Level Three: Rapids Talon!"

Mine and Prometheus' spells collide again.

"Go ahead, roast me alive!" I spit with a smirk, "My body is already littered with scars from our last buy, what's a few more!"

"Alright," Prometheus smirks as his entire body lights ablaze, "YOU ASKED FOR IT!"

…

"CAW! CAW!"

Crows caw and circle in the dusk sky as the sun begins to set.

"Hahhhh…"

Prometheus sighs as he watches his golden flames flicker and dance around Noah's body, burning him alive.

As Prometheus' flames flicker out, burnt, charred-black chunks of Noah's body crumble to ash and fall to the ground.

Prometheus stares at the corpse of his younger brother for a moment.

"It seems…that you couldn't give me the fight I desired afterall…"

Prometheus then crouches down and coils up his body, as flames dance around his feet and ankles.

"As punishment…I'll kill your friends."

Prometheus then uncoils his body and springs upwards, using his flames to propel himself through the air as he flies towards the four remaining living members of Team Noah.
