6: Morphy

"Bastard" As soon as Kei said that Zen smiled and he disappeared and Kei opened his eyes seeing the imitation of Zen and Captain.

Kei noticed that they had way less Mana than the original counterpart but they remember all the techniques they used to perform. The weapons they were currently wielding were also made out of black liquid. Zen was holding a blade which was black in colour with a silver outline around it. It was almost as sharp as the original sword which was made from an alloy of 2 C-rank materials. The black liquid couldn't imitate it properly as it doesn't know the proper components of the materials that were used. If it knew maybe then a same or even better level of the blade could have been made. The handle of it had a snake engraved in it and the eyes of the snake were glowing silver.

The captain was holding a katana whose name was Yugen. Yugen was a beautiful katana which was forged from a rare metal, bearing a mesmerizing pattern that seems to shimmer and flow like water. Its surface reflects a hauntingly beautiful hue, adding to its aura of mystique. The blade was honed to perfection, with a razor-sharp edge capable of slicing through the toughest of adversaries effortlessly. It possesses a harmonious balance that allows it to move with grace and precision, making it an extension of its wielder's will. The hilt of the katana is wrapped in supple, midnight-blue leather, offering a secure and comfortable grip. Its guard, adorned with intricate engravings of celestial constellations, adds to its celestial allure. At the pommel, a sapphire gemstone is embedded which was radiating a gentle glow that enhances the blade's ethereal aesthetic.

It was a very rare katana and the Captain invested a lot of time and money into it. Neither the Captain nor his daughter were a materialistic person. They lived in a decent apartment and except the fact that he had to spend his money on his daughter the Captain nothing else to spend his money on so he had saved up quite a bit and he decided to invest it in Yugen.

Kei saw their stance and he wanted to try out something, so he got down in a stance of holding an imaginary katana and performed the movement. This was the move which the Captain used and he was known for it. The name of the move is Zephyr's Forsake. In this move, Yugen is used to counterattack the opponent. For this Yugen is channelled with a huge source of Mana and water starts to twirl around the sword which causes the opponent attacks to change the trajectory of their attack in the middle forcefully and swipe their weapon off them while slashing at their neck. It is done so fast that most of the people don't even notice the first few steps.

'As I thought with the memories of them , I also got their experience of the forms they use .' Then Kei looks at Zen and the Captain. 'But I don't know what will happen to me if I ever do that again . I might lose myself, my goals, my emotions and my identity if I get the memories of others . '

He sighs at all the things that have happened to him as he entered this Dungeon. Then he sees his disambered arm lying on the ground and he walks towards it . 'I've gotten an idea !' then he sits in front of the arm and closes his eyes to concentrate. The black liquid starts to seep out of him and goes to the arm and covers it . Kei clenched his eyes and grits his teeth as he was already from all the stress and the fighting and now he had to concentrate very hard and he had to use his Mana which was already to the point of depletion.

Then the black liquid absorbs his severed arm and comes back to him and gets reabsorbed. The place from where his arm was not present started to have black liquid form something. His arm started to grow back. All the tendons, veins, muscles, bones and joints started to grow back. Kei clearly had the picture of his arm in his mind all to the minute details.

It took him almost half an hour to complete it and after completing it he started to pant a lot. Then he looks at his hand and clenches it. "It is just like the arm I had ."

Kei stands up and absorbs Zen and Captain back. "I can't just keep it calling black liquid. I have to think of a name for it. How about Eubomorph? Nah, let's just call it Morphy for now as it can morph into other things well."

Kei takes the real blade of Zen and the Katana of the captain and leaves the Dungeon.

He goes to the temporary building which was there for the briefing. He notices that only 4 days have passed and Kei was shocked because he was sure that two weeks must have passed but it also explained why any reinforcement didn't come as usually the hunters would take a week to clear a D-Rank Dungeon.

Kei quickly leaves the building as he didn't want to gather attention to himself and he had to go home and recuperate. But someone noticed Kei leaving in a hurry and started to follow him.

Kei noticed this and led the follower into an alleyway where he ambushed the follower.

"Jyn ?" Kei asked as he was shocked as the follower was none other than Zen's sister.
