8: The Bearer of Bad News

"The thing is that I still haven't fully recovered from Mana Intolerance. The doctor that checked me after I woke up told me that. I still can't use Mana which is inside my body and no Mana should enter my body and if it ever happens then I would be in a very critical situation or I might even die."

Kei looks at Jyn with a dumbfounded expression and he says "You know I am a hunter right Jyn?" Jyn nods at that "So ARE YOU STUPID!?" Kei raises his voice a little "What would have happened to you if my Mana entered your body? " "But it didn't " Kei raises his voice a little more "BUT WHAT IF IT DID !!". Everyone in the restaurant starts to look towards Kei.

Kei calms down by taking a deep breath in and then turns to everyone and says "I am sorry for shouting so please enjoy the rest of your meal ." Then he looks at Jyn who had her head down and tears in her eyes. "I am sorry big brother." Jyn says in a weak tone. "Jyn look at me ." Jyn then slowly lifts her head and looks at Kei and he says in a calm tone."I don't want your apology Jyn you have to know the consequences that might have happened. Did you think about how I or how your brother and mother would think if I was the one who would have put you in a critical condition or that you died. Do you know what I would have gone through if I was the one who would harm you ?" Jyn looked down and she didn't know what to say.

"Look Jyn I, your brother and your brother all want us what is best for you and they have waited a long time for you to recover. So if you don't tell them then I hope not but you might be in a serious state so ask your family to help and I am hundred percent sure they would help you. " Jyn nods and they started to eat as the food was served.

After they finish their food and pay they leave the restaurant and Kei takes Jyn home. They reach the apartment and Kei rings the doorbell of the apartment in which they were living ."Aunty it is me, Kei" and then they could hear hurried footsteps from the other side and the door opens "Oh I was very worried, You know I don't like you both going to a dug-" before she could finish her sentence sees Jyn. She gasps loudly looking at her and she covers her mouth as tears started to drip out of her eyes. Jyn hugs her mother while tears are also dripping out of her eyes "I am back Mom, I am back ."

Kei smiles at this warm moment but he starts to dread the moment when he has to reveal the information that Zen had died.

After they explained how Jyn woke up and that she still haven't recovered Jyn's mother asks "Kei, where is Zen?" and Kei looks into her eyes for a few moments then he says "Zen died in the dungeon." The moment Jyn and her mother heard that they both fell to the ground "I am sorry Aunty, I couldn't protect him ." "Big brother you are lying to us right ? right? How can he have died the moment I woke up? "Jyn asks in a frantic voice . Kei just looks down at that comment.

"I'll leave for now, I will come back tomorrow." and Kei leaves. Kei knew that he should be with Zen's family but he didn't know what to do in the situation so he decided that the only thing he could do for them is to provide them with money. It wouldn't lessen any feeling of Zen dying but at least they don't have to worry about things.

Kei's eyes then starts to burn with determination 'I'll get so strong that this would never happen to me ever again .' With this, he returns home to get some rest while checking for the dungeons that he could enter. He had to find a dungeon as soon as possible as he had to test his new abilities.

The next day he reaches near a D-rank dungeon where a small group of hunters had arrived. The leader of the group saw and walked forward and started to talk "You must be Kei Nakamura right ?" Kei nods at that then he reached for his wallet and took out his wallet and gave his hunter card to the leader of the group. The leader of the group takes and verifies it and returns it to Kei. "Okay so now I will begin the briefing about the place. So everyone gather up!"

After everyone gathers he started "First of all my name is Stephan Maximoff but you can call me Steph for short. Now that my introduction is done I will move on to the briefing of the dungeon. This is a D-rank dungeon which will have the Eclipsefanged Direwolf also known as Eclipsewolf and Titanstoned golem. The boss will be the Serpent Maligoria. I hope everyone knows what the weakness of the monsters is. We will discuss about the boss within the dungeon and if anyone doesn't know it please tell me and I will explain it to him or her. " After a few moments of silence Steph continued "Nice, Everyone knows it so now we should start to distribute into teams. First is tankers please be at the front of the dungeon. The second Main damage dealers would be right behind the tankers. Third would be the healers and some of the people who will protect them ." Everyone gets in their respective group.

Kei who was in the main damage dealer group started to think. 'Eclipsefanged Direwolf huh, they are more agile than the Dreadweaver and because of their dark and smoky fur, it is very hard to see and detect them. Whenever they see an opening they attack and their fangs are something else. The bite force is enough to make them a D-rank monster. Their fangs are sharp and long as hell they can bute through E-rank materials easily so if anyone doesn't have a D-rank equipment then might as well due in the dungeon. Their only weakness is that they have a blindspot in their vision and it makes it a lot easier to kill them otherwise they sure would have been a C-ranked monster .'

'The Titanstoned Golem, they are mainly made out of minerals which are very hard but have no Mana conductivity that's why they sell for a lot less otherwise blacksmiths would pay for a lot for them. The Titanstoned golem is made out of Titan material which is very hard to pierce through but they are slower because of that. The weakness of them is to aim for their head or bodies and hope you find the core of its body and for every other Titanstoned Golem will have different places where their core is stored so it takes quite a long time to kill them.' Kei then sighs 'This is gonna be a lot of tiring but it will give me THE EQUAL LEVEL OF RUSH !!'
