CHAPTER 4

Jimmy came back to Aria's room and he found her and Alina pulling their hairs.

He quickly put the coffee he brought aside.

"Hey, miss nurse. What the hell are you doing?" Jimmy yelled and he ran to them so hd could separate the fight.

"Don't you dare get involved" They both chorused and Jimmy shrunk in fear.

"What are the both of you doing? Don't forget you're at the hospital. And miss nurse, do you know exactly what will happen to you if the chief director of this hospital hears about this. How dare you pull a fight with a VIP patient" Jimmy yelled and Aria let go of Alina immediately.

"Get out and shut the door behind you" Aria instructed with a frown.

"Aria, you're a patient and you've got an injury. I have to look out for you so something worse doesn't happen to you" Jimmy said and Aria looked at Alina.

They both ran into each others embrace.

"Silly brat, I've missed you so much. You disappeared from the face of the earth" Alina said almost in tears and Aria broke the hug.

"I should be the one saying that. At least you see me on TV sometimes and that means I'm still alive and well but you disappeared completely. How could you feel so good after leaving me and not reaching out for so long" Aria said as tears escaped her eyes.

"What's going on here?" Jimmy asked obviously flabbergasted at the turns of things.

"Have a seat. You shouldn't stand for long with your injury" Alina said and helped Aria sit down at a couch next to the bed.

"You've finally achieved your dreams Aria. You've gone far with your career. You really did become a superstar like you've always dreamed of" Alina said with teary eyes.

"You did same as well but how come you're putting on a nurse's dress. I thought you planned on becoming a surgeon so what happened? Why are you still putting a mask on? Alina?" Aria asked glaring at Alina.

Alina laughed as she watched Aria's funny eyes movement.

"It just happened that way and I see no difference between this two things. Being a nurse is a dream I've always wanted to accomplish and for my mask. It's glued to my face now, I don't think I can live without it anymore" Alina said with a sad smile and Aria held her face.

"Look at me, you're beautiful and I will keep on telling you this till you get used to hearing it and grow some confidence in yourself. It's been nine years already and you've still not gotten over it"

"Exactly, but how come you've not changed one bit either, at least I've learnt to accept me for who I am" Alina said and Aria chuckled.

"That statement coming from you, sounds hilarious. You're nothing close to accept yourself so stop fooling yourself" Aria laughed.

A senior nurse walked into the room after a knock.

"Nurse Alina, what the hell are you doing with the patient? You're here to take reports and not start a conversation with the patient. Do you have any idea who she is? How dare sit in the same couch as her? Aria ma'am, I'm sorry for my fellow colleagues attitude" The nurse said politely with a smile and Alina stood up quickly but Aria held her hand and dragged her back to the bed.

"Sit down, Alina" Aria said seriously and she stood up gently.

"What's that supposed to mean? What's that tone for? Why would you use such a tone on your colleague? How come you sounded so rude just now? You might have sounded polite when talking to me but how dare you speak to Alina in such a tone" Aria said seriously.

"Aria, it's okay, don't create a scene please" Alina pleaded holding her hand but Aria shoved her hands off.

"It's not okay Alina. Why must you be the one always taking such attitude and behaviours from people? What did you do so wrong? Yes, she might be your senior but what gives her the audacity to speak to you in such a tone. For how long have you been keeping up with it?" Aria asked furiously.

"What are you waiting for? Apologize to her immediately" Jimmy said to the nurse and she stuttered not knowing what to do.

"I'm so sorry miss Aria. I must have been out of my mind for a second. I'm sorry for my attitude" The nurse apologised and Aria scoffed and walked closer to her.

"Apologize to Alina. She did nothing wrong to you so show her some respect, she's not your maid and she's not here to be your rag so apologize to her" Aria ordered seriously.

"Aria, please don't" Alina cut in almost in a whisper as she tried to stand up but Aria turned to her with a frown.

"Sit down Alina. I can't tolerate such an attitude towards you so she must apologize or I will sue her and she might probably end up losing her job. Do you want that to happen?" Aria asked and the nurse went down on her knees immediately.

"I'm so sorry nurse Alina. I was rude to you for no good reason. Please forgive me for my actions" The nurse begged.

"Alina, do you forgive her? Because I haven't" Aria said sarcastically.

"Senior, please stand up. Don't do this please. How I face you after we leave this room. Please don't put me in a tight position" Alina said worriedly as she tried to help the nurse up but the nurse refuse to move an inch.

Alina looked at Aria with worried eyes.

"Alright fine. I'm only letting you off the hook because Alina is worried about her relationship with you at this hospital. Just so you know, Alina and I are best friends and you have no idea what length I can go if anyone messes with my best friend so keep that in mind and tell the rest of your colleagues who treats her like a rag, they should watch for me" Aria threatened and the nurse bowed continuously on her knees.

Doctor Nolan and Matthew walked into the room only to see the nurse on her knees.

"What's going on here?" Matthew asked and Aria looked at him then rolled her eyes.

Nolan gave Alina a curious look but she ignore his gaze.

"You can go now" Aria said and the nurse stood up immediately. She bowed to Nolan then ran out of the room.

"Miss Aria, if you don't mind. May I ask why one of my nurses was on her knees" Nolan questioned and Aria went back to her bed then lay down.

"She used rude words on me and it was quite disturbing, she was only apologizing for what she did. I must say your system here really sucks. How come bullying found its way into the hospital?" Aria asked rudely.

"I'm sorry if you had to witness something like that. They will be brought to order. Nurse Alina what are you still doing here? You've got lots of patients to check up so get going. The drama is over" Nolan said coldly and Aria glared at him.

"Excuse me, Mr Nolan but I don't like the sound of your tone" Aria pointed out but Alina signalled her to let it go.

"Jimmy go with her" Aria said and they both left the room.

Alina and Jimmy walked out of the lobby.

"Why did she ask you to follow me? I'm going to do some work so you can't come with me"

"Put down your contact here and your home address please" Jimmy said handing Aria's phone to her.

"Such a silly girl. Why would she even think I will run away?" Alina laughed as she typed her phone number and address on Aria's phone.

"That's Aria's number, save it up okay" Jimmy said after dialing it.

"Okay, look after her okay. Aria can be quite a trouble maker" Alina smiled.

"You know her so well. I can hardly keep up with her troubles but I've gotten used to it. I bet I can handle it all now. Bye" Jimmy said politely and Alina left.

Aria lay down on her bed and covered herself with a blanket.

"Aria, you should at least say hello to me. Am I some sort of ghost or what?" Matthew said in a serious tone.

"Have some shame Mat. I pushed you away before, aren't you embarrassed about that and it's not like anyone is here to watch us so stop the whole drama" Aria said sarcastically and Nolan cleared his throat.

"Hi Doc, what can I help you with? Nurse Alina checked up on me minutes ago and I'm perfectly fine but when am I being discharged?" Aria asked as she sat up.

Matthew looked at Nolan.

"I will come back so other time. You don't seem to be in a good mood" Nolan said with a awkward smile.

"I would appreciate that Doc. And I would love it if you don't prepare my discharge papers anytime soon. I think I will be staying here longer than I expected" Aria said with a wide smile as she gazed at a space.

"Okay, as you wish" Nolan said politely.

"Mat, I'm sorry but you've got to deal with her alone" Nolan whispered to Matthew then he sneaked out of the room.

Nolan came out of the room and exhaled deeply.

I was hoping I had a sound and friendly conversation with Aria, I can't believe Alina ruined all of that. Who on earth assigned her here? Her schedule is choked up already so why was she sent here only to come ruin things for me? Nolan asked in his head angrily then he got into the elevator.

He walked down to the nurses table after coming out of the elevator.

"Who assigned nurse Alina to room 1005 at the VIP ward?" Nolan asked seriously as he looked at their faces but they kept mute.

"Why's nobody talking?" Nolan yelled and they shrunk in fear.

"I did professor" The senior nurse stuttered as she stood up slowly.

"Come to my office immediately" Nolan said angrily then left for his office.

The nurse ran behind him.

He got to his office then placed his hands on his waist.

"Why did you send nurse Alina to the VIP room when it's not her duty to do so?" Nolan asked seriously.

"I'm so sorry professor. I only did that because I had more patients to check up on and the patient in room 1005 needed to be checked up on" The nurse stuttered.

"How dare you go against the rules of our hospital? I don't really care if you had a lot on your plate but that's your duty as a nurse. You have no right to assign someone else your duty without taking permission from the director. Just because I'm a little hard on nurse Alina doesn't give any of you the right to go against the rules and regulations here. If you don't wish to lose your job, this should never repeat itself. Leave my office" Nolan said coldly.

"Yes professor" She said and ran out of the office.

"Why are they all making things difficult for me? Alina is always involved in whatever thing is bugging me. She's just a baggage of bad luck" Nolan uttered angrily.

Later that night....

Alina sat at a dark corner which had a little glimpse of light in the hospital so she would change her mask.

Nolan happened to walk past that lobby but he sighted Alina from afar seated on a bench.

"What the hell is she doing there?" Nolan questioned as he focused his gaze on Alina and her mask fell to the ground.

His eyes widened in shock.
