CHAPTER 6

Aria dressed up as she got ready to leave the hospital.

She had a look at her phone and she sighed deeply.

"I guess, you just saw the article about you and Matthew. The both of you are trending right now. Now all you need to do is to announce your relationship to the public. Your fans are anxious and thrilled to confirm their doubts" Jimmy said with a wide smile which he found it hard hiding.

"Are you that happy? It's not like it's even a real relationship so why are you so excited? To be honest, I really don't want to push through with this plan. Why must I fake everything just to correct a single mistake"

"Well, that's your punishment for causing the whole scene in the first place. You have to push through with it Aria, if you don't Mrs Kim will lose it" Jimmy forewarned and Aria shrugged.

"I didn't agree to do it all because of her. I agreed to do because I'm also benefitting from it so don't get me wrong and it's time for me to leave the hospital. Let's go" Aria said as she walked to the door but then stopped.

"Something happened said and I find it really disturbing. I can't just leave without setting things straight that's not how I handle things" Aria said with a vicious smile.

Alina came out of the emergency ward with her eyes fixed on the report on her hands.

Hopefully I get this things taken care of immediately. I can't afford to make another mistake. Come to think of it, I have the feeling professor Nolan saw my face and that's why he has become even more grouchy than before. This isn't good for me, he will make things even more difficult and complicated for me now. I tried to avoid this for so long. Alina said worriedly in her head and she saw some doctors walked past her with a cup of coffee on their hands.

Exactly, coffee! I should try to favour him a little so he doesn't get on my throat too often. Alina said in her head and she ran to the cafeteria.

Alina got a hot cup of coffee and left for Nolan's office.

She knocked on his door but no response.

"He's not inside?" Alina questioned as she tried to peep the key hole.

"What the hell are you doing? Don't you know the meaning of privacy? You've knocked so was it necessary for you to peep in" Nolan said coldly from behind and Alina shrunk in fear.

"Sorry about that professor" Alina apologized immediately and he went into the office.

Alina followed.

"What do you want or what are you doing here?" Nolan asked looking at his wristwatch.

"Professor, I got you coffee" Alina said with a smile and Nolan glanced at her.

"Why?"

Alina scratches her hair in confusion as she thought hard on what to say. Nolan read the look on her face.

"Just leave it there on the table" Nolan uttered and Alina's face brightened up.

"Thank you professor. Professor, you can always ask me to get you coffee. I will be at your service so please don't hesitate to tell me and here's the report for bed 04" Alina said as she placed the report on the bed and someone knocked at the door.

"Come in" Nolan said with his eyes on the door.

Aria came into the office and she looked around with a disgust stare in her eyes.

"Professor, is this your office?" Aria asked sarcastically as she looked around.

"Aria, you're awake" Alina said with a smile and Aria smiled at her.

"I woke up like hours ago and I kept on looking for you. It felt like you ran away again but don't worry, we will have a long chat after I'm done here" Aria said and faced Nolan.

"I have the feeling you're here for personal reasons so I will drop the formalities. Hope you had a great time with Mat yesterday?" Nolan asked calmly and Alina's eyes widened in shock as she heard how polite Nolan sounded.

"Having a great time at the hospital, isn't that a bit off? Well I have no idea what kind of relationship you share with Matthew but I will appreciate it if you speak to him on my behalf and please tell him to avoid crossing path with me. It really bothers me that we keep meeting at unofficial places" Aria said coldly.

"May I ask why you dislike him so much? After all, it's all business but why do you keep making this personal? Not professional at all" Nolan said coldly and Aria glared at him.

"You're making it sound very personal if you use the word dislike. I'm being very professional right now and this is the best behaviour I can give to a contract I don't find enticing. Well, I'm done here. I will take nurse Alina with me, I only came here because I was told she would be here so don't get me wrong" Aria said and Nolan smiled.

"Well, she's at your service. You can go with her but I'm hoping you don't steal her time for too long. She still has to work" Nolan reminded with a fake smile.

"I'm also a patient here so I can have her accompany me for as long as I want. Excuse me" Aria said and she placed her arm on Alina's shoulders.

"Excuse me, professor" Alina said with a bow then left with Aria.

"Ria, what was that? You provoked professor Nolan. He would make things harder for me even now" Alina said worriedly as they came out of the office.

"Relax Lina, that dude pisses me off. I already found him irritating for being close to Matthew and after I heard of what he has being doing to you, I just find him even more annoying. I couldn't help it"

"If you feel this, you should imagine how I feel and now it's even more complicated" Alina said worriedly and Aria gave her a curious look.

"Did he ask you out?" Aria yelled and the people walking by looked at them.

"Lower your voice, Ria and it's nothing like that and why do you think anyone will ask a girl like me out, can you just stop thinking so much"

"I really want to rebuke you for that statement but I shouldn't forget the main topic. What happened between you and that bratty professor?" Aria asked curiously.

"He saw my bare face" Alina said slowly and Aria covered her mouth in shock.

"I can't believe your first love at first sight had to happen with him. Trust me Lina, that dude has fallen. No guy in his right senses wouldn't" Aria said defiantly and Alina held her head as she got frustrated even more.

"You're not getting my point here. Ria, can you put yourself together for me please. I'm so stressed out as it seems so please can you help me here. You know exactly what I went through when we were little so why are you sounding this way"

"Lina, I've never lied to you before and I only mention facts. Well, it's nothing for you to be worried about. He's not going to do anything stupid but trust me, he might end up doing something very silly just to see your face again" Aria uttered with a smile.

"As if, that would make me feel any better" Alina pouted then wrapped her arm around Aria's.

"It must be so exhausting to always have a mask on right? But when do you plan on giving that up?" Aria asked and Alina stopped walking as she had flashes of the bullying she had to go through when she was little because of her face.

"Never so can we please stop taking about it. I thought you said you would be staying longer at the hospital but why are you leaving so soon?"

"I also thought so as well but I got a call from the president. She's done with her mission here and that's dragging Matthew down here to the hospital. Now I have to go back to business. I need to release a new album as my welcome back record so I've got loads of work to do but I'm not going to leave that quietly" Aria smiled.

"Poor you, you've only gotten back and you're so occupied already" Alina said with a concerned look and suddenly Aria's last words hit her hard.

"What do you plan on doing Ria?" Alina asked curiously and Aria smiled.

"Be patient, we're almost there"

They both got to the waiting hall and Alina was shocked to see some uniform men and women distributing goodies to everyone including the patients and workers.

"It's Aria!" People screamed on noticing her presence.

Her fans screamed from outside as they watched her through the transparent walls.

"Hello everyone, I hope you're enjoying the goodies. This is a sign of expression from my path for having being cured by nurse Alina over here. You must have heard of the sorts of miracles she performs on patients. You should be thankful for having a nurse as her" Aria complimented and everyone nodded in agreement.

"Be good and I wish you all a quick recovery just like I did, all thanks to my friend" Aria said with a smile.

The nurses and doctors murmured among themselves in shock.

"Nurse Alina is friends with Aria?"

"Wow, I should have been nice to her in the first place"

Nolan was on his way to the chief director's office when he noticed the commotion downstairs.

"What's that noise?" Nolan uttered and he walked closer to the pillars and he saw Alina and Aria together.

"Bye everyone, bye" Aria said cheerfully waving at everyone.

"Thank you Aria, thank you nurse Alina" People hailed as Alina walked Aria to the door.

Nolan clenched his fist angrily after watching all that.

He rushed down and walked straight to Alina as she stood at the door waving at Aria as she got into her van.

Nolan grabbed her by the hand and dragged her with him.

Everyone watched in surprise.

"What's going on? Professor Nolan looks very disconcerted" Some nurses whispered.

Nolan dragged Alina to an office, he glared at her walking closer to her, Alina walked backwards in fear and she ended up reaching the wall.

"Professor,.. what's going on?" Alina asked in a shaky tone and Nolan hit the walls hard with his fist.

"Why are you trying so hard to get on my nerves?" Nolan yelled and Alina shut her eyes in fear.

"I don't get a thing, you just said professor" Alina uttered with her eyes still shut.

Nolan leaned forward to her.

"So what if you look like an angel but behave like the devil himself. Don't use my weakness against me or you will regret it Alina so don't you dare cross the line" Nolan yelled and suddenly Alina's chest felt congested out of fear.

She struggled to gasp some air. She held her chest with one of her hands.

"Drop the act" Nolan said coldly and Alina went down on her knees, holding her chest as she scavenge for air and she had flashes of all the bullying she had experienced in the past.

Hot tears roll down Alina's cheeks as she found it hard uttering a word.

Nolan noticed, Alina's struggle wasn't that of pretense so he bent over immediately.

"Alina are you okay?" Nolan asked curiously as he placed his hands on her shoulders and Alina managed to nod negatively.

"I.. can't bre..athe..." Alina stammered and her eyes slowly began to close.

"Get a grip of yourself Alina" Nolan yelled as he shook her repeatedly so she doesn't lose consciousness.
