CHAPTER 31

Alina got back home and found Nolan seated at the sitting room quietly with the lights off.

She switched on the lights after getting in.

"Nolan!" Alina called out before noticing Nolan's shadow on his seat.

"Nolan, are you okay?" Alina asked and rushed to him.

Nolan stood up and gave her a tight hug.

"Where did you disappear to? I waited for you for hours" Nolan complained as he caressed her back.

"I'm sorry, I kept you waiting for so long but I actually didn't go far. I only met up with a friend at a restaurant" Alina said and Nolan broke the hug as he thought of how Alina smiled to Falcon.

"A friend?" Nolan asked as he acted dumb.

"He's a friend and my dad's landlord as well. Here, have a look. He gave out two invites to his company's party. He said I should come along with you" Alina said smiling as she showed Nolan the invites after bringing it out from her purse.

"That's so thoughtful of him" Nolan said with a smile and he exhaled sharply.

That's quite a relief, luckily I didn't blow things out of proportion. Nolan said in his head and hugged Alina.

"Please Alina, whenever you're going out to meet up with a friend I'm not familiar with, please let me know okay. It's a risky world out there and I can't just entrust anyone with your safety" Nolan said concerned and Alina nodded.

"I will, I'm sorry I made you worried" Alina said.

FALCON'S BALCONY....

He was seated at his balcony with cans of chilled beer placed on the table next to where he was seated.

"Boss, do you need anything?" Secretary Park asked as he came into the balcony.

"You should head back home. I can take care of myself. You're only a secretary but I managed to turn you into my personal assistant. That must be quite exhausting. You should take tomorrow off, don't come here or the office tomorrow" Falcon said coldly.

"Boss, is everything okay? You don't usually send me back home unless you're going through so much. Are you perhaps going through any tough paths?" Secretary Park asked concerned.

"I'm fine, just leave already" Falcon said looking away.

"Boss are you sure you're fine?"

"I said leave! Get lost! What part of leave don't you understand!" Falcon yelled as he threw away the can of beer on his hand on the floor angrily.

"I'm sorry boss. I will take my leave now"

"What are you still waiting for? You should respect my privacy in times like this" Falcon said angrily and secretary Park left immediately without looking back.

Falcon sighed frustratedly with his eyes shot.

"I can't even get one thought straight" Falcon hissed and opened another can of beer.

He gulped down the whole content in the can then he crushed it with his hands.

"So foolish of me! I couldn't even ask her from the very start If she had a boyfriend. I ended hurting myself because of my carelessness. Why did I have to find out now? I should have found out earlier. Is it too late for me to give up now?" Falcon questioned staring at the sky.

Alina's face appeared on the sky as she wore an innocent smile.

"Why did you make me fall for you even more? You made me fall even deeper with those beautiful smiles. You're partially responsible for this, you know that right" Falcon said sadly to the sky.

Aria and Matthew's resort...

They both went into the swimming pool to cool off.

"It's so refreshing. Why didn't I think of this sooner?" Aria uttered as she floated at the top of the pool with the help of a floating bed.

"Yes, it is but why are you on that? You should get into the water and feel exactly what I'm feeling right now" Matt said excitedly as he swam.

"No way, it's more fun this way"

Matt noticed how relaxed Aria was and he splashed her some water.

"Ouch, Matt that's cold" Aria whined.

Matt swam to where she was, he grabbed her hand and dragged her into the pool.

"Oh my goodness it's so cold" Aria screamed excitedly and Matt laughed.

"Let's swim a little and go back to our resident so you don't catch a cold"

"Well, we're not going anywhere until I get my revenge. Come here" Aria said jovially as she splashed Matt some water.

Matt tried running but Aria followed him and they ended up splashing each other with the water.

Minutes later...

Matt came out of the pool.

"Let me give you a hand" Matt said giving out his hand to Aria.

"Don't worry, I can help myself" Aria said and came out of the pool but she was about taking a step forward and slipped.

"Aria, careful" Matt half yelled as he held her hand quickly.

They had an eye lock.

"Stay next to me. It might be risky if you walk alone" Matt said and held her hand closely.

Falcon's sitting room...

Alina came out of the bathroom after taking a shower.

"What's that smell? Something smells nice" Alina pointed out as she head to the kitchen.

Alina covered her mouth with her palms in shock on seeing how the table was covered with so many dishes and well decorated in a night date style. Candles and roses on the table which beautified it.

"Wow, this is beautiful!" Alina exclaimed with a satisfactory smile.

Nolan came back to the dinning table with a bottle of wine on his hand.

"You're out already?" Nolan asked and gently placed the bottle of wine on the table to complete the date setting.

"When did you prepare all this? It's beautiful"

"You said I can't go out yet so I thought of us having a date at home. I was in a bit of rush so it wouldn't be as perfect as I planned it to be" Nolan said as he scratched his hair.

"It's more than perfect. I love it" Alina smiled and Nolan walked to her and helped her with her chair just like a gentleman.

"Thank you" Alina said politely then sat down.

Nolan corked the bottle of wine and poured some into their glasses.

"Let's eat" Nolan said after sitting down.

"Alina, I'm sorry we're just having our first date now and at home. I should have been more romantic from the very start" Nolan said calmly and Alina placed her palms on his hand.

"Thank you so much for this. I can't ask for more, I love it" Alina smiled and Nolan pecked her at the back of her palm.

"I love you, Alina" Nolan smiled passionately and Alina stared at him with loving eyes.

"Let's eat" Nolan said and they both picked up their chopsticks.

Alina digged in and her eyes widened in surprise.

"It's actually very delicious. I haven't eaten anything as good as this for a while now" Alina complimented as she continued eating.

Nolan picked up his phone and dropped a five star for the restaurant he placed the order of the dishes.

"I'm glad you like it" He smiled.

"When I was little, we once had a feast like this at my house and it was actually my birthday. My nanny prepared the dishes with so much love" Alina said and boost into laughter.

"Did something happen to the dishes?" Nolan asked curiously.

"The dishes she prepared were more than faulty. Some of the dishes were too salty and the steak and drumsticks she prepared were even worse, there tasted nothing close to human food. My dad got so pissed and we ended up throwing away all the plates along with the food she prepared" Alina laughed.

"I can feel his pain. He must have dreamt of having that feast, only for it to happen and it was a complete flop" Nolan laughed along with Alina.

Minutes later after the kitchen date.

They both went into the washroom.

"Why did you follow me all the way here? I told you to wait for me outside" Alina complained as she placed her toothbrush inside her mouth.

Nolan hugged her from behind as he watched her brush her teeth.

"Won't you brush your teeth as well?" Alina asked staring at Nolan at the mirror and he nodded negatively like a baby.

"Why are you suddenly acting like a baby? You shouldn't go to bed without brushing your teeth" Alina reminded and Nolan sluggishly broke the hug and helped himself with his toothbrush and a paste.

They both brushed their teeth staring at each other at the mirror.

Nolan winked at Alina and she smiled looking away.

"How can you look this beautiful even when brushing your teeth" Nolan complimented out of the blue as he fixed his eyes on her.

"Come on, you're making me blush" Alina said with a smile as she hit him lightly.

"I'm one of the most luckiest man on earth. I got blessed with such a beauty as my girlfriend. There's no way I'm ever letting you go" Nolan said and pecked Alina on her cheeks with the toothpaste foams on his lips.

"You got it on me" Alina laughed.

They were done brushing their teeth.

Alina was about heading to her room but Nolan held her hand.

"I wish to sleep side you tonight, can I?" Nolan asked with a cute face and Alina smiled.

"Of course, you can sweetie"

"Let's sleep in your room tonight" Nolan said with a smile.

"Alright, let's go" Alina said playfully and they got into her room.

Nolan looked around like it was never his house to begin with.

"You've only been here for a few days but it feels like home already so this is what it feels like to have a woman in one's life" Nolan smiled, Alina chuckled as she stared at him and Nolan got on the bed.

Alina picked up her earbuds and then switched off the lights leaving just the bed lamps on.

"Alina, I think I'm in trouble" Nolan said.

"Why? What happened? Is it something very serious?" Alina asked curiously.

"I don't think I will spending the night in my bedroom any longer. Will you always accept me here?"

"Of course not. You should learn to be independent sometimes" Alina teased and joined him on the bed.

Nolan placed his arms under her neck and his other arm, wrapped around her waist in a cuddle.

"I've being independent basically all my life. If not having you around means being independent then I want to be dependent for the rest of my life" Nolan said and Alina laughed.

"I'm lucky to have you as my boyfriend as well Nolan. Thank you for loving me" Alina said softly as she placed one of the earbuds in Nolan's ears and one in hers.

Alina played a cool romantic song on her phone.

"Wow, I had no idea you're into such songs" Nolan said slowly as he caressed Alina's hair.

"Of course and this moment deserves something romantic. It's so lovely to be in your arms. It's a beautiful feeling, I wish this never ends" Alina smiled and they both shot their eyes.

NEXT MORNING....

Nolan moved his arms around the bed but couldn't feel Alina's present on the bed. He slowly opened his eyes.

"Alina!" Nolan called out in a sleepy tone as he stood up and stretched his arms.

He walked to the sitting room and he saw a little paper message pasted on the fridge.

~ You should take a quick bath and dress up lovely like you always do. We're going out ~ Alina wrote on the paper and Nolan smiled after reading it.

"What's she planning this time? She's so full of surprises" Nolan grinned and then went into the bathroom.

Almost an hour later, Nolan was done dressing up.

He sat at the sitting room patiently waiting for Alina.

Alina came out of her bedroom with sunshades on.

Nolan's heart skipped a beat on seeing her.

"Sweetie are you ready?" Alina asked excitedly as she ran to him.

"You're looking so beautiful Alina. I almost lost my sight because your beauty is blindly" Nolan complimented with a smile as he stood up with his eyes fixed on her.

"You're not putting your mask on today?" Nolan asked curiously.

"Today is a special day for the both of us. I don't think my mask has any role to play for today" Alina smiled.

"Where are we going?"

Alina smiled looking away.

"It's a secret" Alina said jovially.
