Chapter 37: Seeing Red

*BONNIE’S POV*

The entire upper floors of The Mad House were filled with nothing but terrible sounds of pure destruction.

*BAM!*

*CRASH!*

*SLAM!*

Bonnie shot up in bed with a sharp gasp. She glanced to her left to find that she was alone. Her eyes slowly carried about the room to find that she was, indeed, completely alone.

“Marcus?” she called out.

There was no response.

‘Something isn’t right,’ she thought to herself.

Bonnie threw back the covers and pulled herself out of bed. She grabbed a new pair of clothes and quickly got dressed. After brushing her teeth and making a quick work of her hair, she tip-toed her way across the hallway.

She tried knocking, but again, was given no answer. The young woman bit the inside of her cheek and curled her hand around the door handle. Her heart skipped in her chest.

She opened the door and stuck her head in. “Marcus?”
