*MARCUS’ POV*
A million thoughts raced through Wolfgang’s mind as he kept his gaze fixated on Bonnie’s unconscious form. Unlike his first experience at the medi-center on her campus, the nurses at St. Ellen’s practically flocked to Marcus as soon as they saw the poor state of the woman in his arms.
They immediately laid her down on an available bed and started throwing a dozen questions at him. Marcus had answered every single one as best as he could while silently thanking God that Bonnie hadn’t gotten caught in the crossfire of him and Julius.
He honestly didn’t know what to do with himself if something worse had happened to her. While his rage had graciously receded to the back of his mind, the darker side of him was still heavily on edge. It didn't concern him that he didn’t feel even a pinch of guilt for ending Julius’ life. Not after how close the maniac had come to almost shooting Karoline as well as Bonnie.
“Mmm,” Bonnie moaned while tossing in her sleep.
