Kade froze at the demand that was given to him by his assailant. His gaze didn’t leave Jamison’s though. In fact, he remained calm despite the obvious danger he was in. This indeed was a trap and he knew that from the start. The fact that whoever it was that was hiding just out of the ring of light was able to maintain their stealth, was impressive. It said to him that he was facing someone who was not new to this sort of thing. Someone who had experience and perhaps many years of it. 


“Would you be so bold as to pull that trigger now, Kit?” Kade asked his unknown attacker without so much as an ounce of uncertainty.
