Chapter 11: Keeping up Appearances

As it turns out, Mrs. Port wasn’t her only client for that day. After a short break, Willow received no ends from human customers, each one with a more curious condition than the last. Some had sprained limbs, such as a basketball player who twisted his ankle. Another had come down with a bad, but thankfully, common, case of acne.

And another had come in with a knife in his chest. Surprisingly, he was about as concerned about the knife as a bear was about a bee sting.

Of course, it helped that the second he laid on eyes Lilith, he gave her a hearty smile. And then his arm fell off.

“Dave’s a zombie,” was all Lilith said on the subject, and Willow had to resist making any hand jokes as she reattached his arm.

Which brought up a good point. The moment any one of her new clients laid an eye on Lilith, they all became drawn to her. They all heeded to her words and she charmed them into following Willow’s instructions, making the latter’s job that much easier.
