Enduring the Family

The moments passed by Willow in a blur. At one instant, she was at Lilith’s side, taking her to the living room while the Headless Jackass howled for an explanation for her current state. The next, they were in said living room, with Willow applying every last bit of her knowledge to healing Lilith’s wounds.

Though her supplies were limited, as Lilith only had a basic first aid kit in her home. It was nothing like what Willow had back at the clinic, but she would make do.

She had to.

“I thought you said,” Willow groused as she wrapped a bandage around Lilith’s left arm. “You would be fine!”

Lilith said nothing. She was undressed, well, mostly. She still had a loose-fitting shirt on, but her tattered hoodie was thrown to the side. Damnit, she was close, way too close…

“I thought you were a vampire, a creature of the night!” Willow snapped as she cut through the extra cloth, her hands moving on their own. “How did a single human do this to you?”
