Kara spent the next few days in the company of her mother and brothers, finding solace in their presence. It served as a much-needed distraction from her current predicament. She wasn’t prepared to confront Eerik and Henri, and she was relieved that they had kept their distance. 


This was an entirely new experience for her. Prior to her relocation to Eithra, her biggest concerns revolved around persuading Ramses to stop teasing her. Now, however, she found herself entangled in an unexpected and unwanted love triangle. Kara wasn’t entirely certain if it could even be classified as such. The events of the past week only solidified her realization that her heart belonged to Eerik, despite the tumultuous circumstances between them.
