As quickly as possible, they pivoted on their heel, making their way to the palace garden with determined steps. The air felt tense, pregnant with anticipation.

"Acheron," Kara's voice sliced through the uneasy atmosphere as he came into her line of sight.

Unsurprisingly, they saw Druj, Acheron's sister, standing in front of a makeshift altar. It seemed as though they were about to proceed with the wedding ceremony, sealing Acheron's control over Eithra and putting their and all Elven kingdoms in grave danger.

The palace garden, usually a place of serene beauty, now hosted an unsettling congregation of Ejken tribe elves, with only a scant presence of Eerik's people. Even Alexander, the king's page, was conspicuously absent. Kara couldn't fathom what might have befallen him.
